Growing pains!!!...we'll be fine....3 bowls in 4/5 years of existence......we lost 2 games we shouldn't have...and probably won a couple we shouldn't have. If We beat Pitt...which we have done the last 2 years....8-4 then we will get a decent bowl..not a big name one though!!!!....Lorenzen is killing them!!!.....I like Frazier and Enders...strong arms!!!...some nice recruits.....so the future is looking better!!!Afternoon Golfer wrote:UCONN needs to stick to hoops.

And it's not over in the MAC West, either! A Western Michigan win over Ball State tomorrow night means a 3-way tie between Western, Ball State and Central Michigan! ...and CMU owns all the tiebreakers![]()
Go Broncos! that's the first and only time you'll see me type that

If Ball State slips up (they're 11 pt. favorites, so I'm certainly not banking on it), three teams would be 7-1, assuming CMU beats Eastern.Dr.Corona wrote:What's the tiebreaker Chip?chippewa wrote:

tiebreakers:
1. head-to-head Each of the 3 teams beat each other, so it's still tied.
2. West divisional record Each would have 1 divisional loss, still tied.
3. conference winning % of teams you played in the East Division -- CMU East opponents had the best in-conference winning percentage, no matter what happens this week.
A Western Mich. win tonight would probably place them and Ball State in the top 25, but send Central to the championship game.

And the BCS had NOTHING to do with it!!

Congrats to my Clemson friends on the board. Your team came out with a purpose to win so you guys would go bowling, and it showed. Your defense played very well. My Gamecocks decided not to show up in the first half and our QB liked throwing to the Clemson DBs for 4 int. We played like we had no purpose and that we were happy with 7 wins and a bowl game. Hopefully we wake up for whatever bowl we go to. Congrats again to the Tigers, the better team won today.

Now the question is--does Dabo get to keep the job?

Thats a good question. First we have to remember that Clemson had the talent to win the ACC this year, it was that Bowden couldnt get them to play for him anymore. Dabo came in and lit a fire under them and they played well as their coach. But Clemson is going to lose some major talent after the bowl game with Davis, Kelly, Harper, and I get the feeling Spiller just to name a few. Thats alot of big time players to lose, for Dabo to start his first full season as head coach. We shall see.CUparrot wrote: Now the question is--does Dabo get to keep the job?

I agree.....next year will be hard for anyone coming in to coach. Spiller has supposedly said that if Clemson keeps Dabo he will stay. But.....I worry that he'll start seeing all those dollar signs he could potentially get and go anyway. Who can blame him?PHnSC wrote:Thats a good question. Jason...have you heard about David Reaves? He's already here in Knoxville setting up his office. He cleaned out his office in Columbia this morning and headed here. He will be announced tommorrow afternoon here along with his brother-in-law Lane Kiffin. Monte Kiffin, his father-in-law will also be named Defensive Coordinator at the end of the Bucs season.

ALL right, The Hog's beat LSU to end a season that we played 18-25 freshmen and redshirts every game. Hopefully Arkansas can be back to a winning season next year.....
Great job at Tenn for getting a great coach, the SEC just keeps getting better!

Yeah, I heard about it this morning! He is a good recruiter, and a very nice guy. From what I heard from a few people I know in the athletic dept at Carolina, is that they will miss Reaves but his leaving will not really affect the program. Him and Shane Beamer were recruiting cordinators together, so Beamer is going to take over all of it for the time being. Reaves was also the QB's coach and well ALOT of people were not real happy with how our QB's played this year. Spurrier Jr is going to take over the QBs, and Spurrier is going to hire a new WR coach along with a new OL coach cause he fired our OL coach today.Bob Roberts wrote:Jason...have you heard about David Reaves? I wish Reaves great luck up in Tenn, and I hope it works out for you and the UT faithful. He is a good guy, and majority of Carolina fans understand why he would leave so he could coach with his brother in law at a great program like UT

San Diego has no college football to speak of, but we do have 2 Bowl games we host. Both are setting up to be good matchups. The Poinsettia Bowl is looking like a Boise St vs TCU game and the Holiday Bowl is looking like Oregon or USC if UCLA can pull off the upset Saturday against either Texas Tech or Oklahoma State.
