Manny
Anyone out there think the Red Sox are going to trade Manny? I've really grown tired of his act!

No, they won't trade him....he's too important on the field, and the Sox have a knack for tuning out "Manny being Manny" without it affecting the team. He is acting like a child, but in the end, he'll finish this season, and be back next year for $20 mil.
If we could unload Lugo and Coco to bring in some bats, it might be possible, but no one is going to give much for either one, especially with their salaries.
Besides, Ortiz is getting to an age where nagging injuries will probably start affecting his output, so Manny's bat is important....Lowell, Youk and Drew can't keep carrying the team, especially when the pitching has been erratic.
Get used to Manny's tantrums.....he's here for awhile.

Could they change the phrase?!?!/ I am getting sick of "Manny being Manny" maybe they should have a contest for the Sox fans to rename the phrase and give away some free tickets to the fan who comes up with the best phrase!

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

unfortunately there are alot of pro athletes like that....they just want the attention....the negative or the positive does not matter to them! Very sad that a lot of kids look to these people as roll models!TommyBahama wrote:Manny doesn't have the passion for the game.Fruitcake14 wrote:If only he'd just quit the crap and play baseball....![]()

If I were a Red Sox fan (which, THANK GOD, I'm not), Manny Ramirez would be the LAST guy I'd want them to trade.
Without him and David Ortiz, the Red Sox would be a GOOD team.
WITH those two, they're a GREAT team.
Two world championships in four years.
Making the playoffs nine out of the past ten years.
Don't mess with the chemistry if it works.
That's why I was p.o.ed when the Yankees let Joe Torre go.
Made the playoffs all 12 years he's managed them, and also the year before he began to manage them.
If it isn't broke, don't fix it.
Right now the Red Sox, I.M.O., don't need fixing.

You'd certainly have more insight than I would, all I know is he's hitting the crap out of the baseball.TommyBahama wrote:a lot of dissension in the locker room....no respect for his manager...and now ownership.......i don't know.....i think they will be better without him right now!!
However, there's no excuse for ANY player not respecting his manager.
I just wonder if he IS so unhappy in Boston, what makes him think he'd be any happier anywhere else?
I don't know-I just think for now I'd take my chances and keep him.
