this is what the Packers are reportedly getting:

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Packers will receive a first-round pick for quarterback Brett Favre, but only if the Jets win the Super Bowl.

The Packers get a fourth-round pick for Favre. It becomes a third-round pick if Favre takes 50 percent of the snaps. It moves to a second-rounder if Favre participates in 70 percent of the plays and the Jets qualify for the playoffs.

Finally, the pick goes to a first-rounder if Favre takes 80 percent of the snaps and the Jets make it to the Super Bowl.

Of course, if the Jets make it to the Super Bowl, it would be the 31st or 32nd selection in the draft.

also...I read that if the Jets were to turn around and trade Favre to the Vikings they would owe the Packers THREE 1st round picks!

This is really weird. Brett Favre in a Jets uniform will be a strange sight to say the least. [smilie=huh-ani.gif]

And come December, there will be a lot of Monday-morning quarterbacking... if Brett plays poorly, the Jets are fools (again.) If Aaron Rodgers plays poorly, the Packers were fools to let Brett go.

Thinking about it, that seems the most likely outcome... Brett is only mediocre with the Jets, and Aaron Rodgers struggles at times with the Pack. Then, both teams look stupid. :-?

Sad.

But... for the first time in my life, I WILL watch some Jets games.

said this yesterday... Rogers has the same position in team history as Scott Hunter did when Bart Starr retired. It isn't going to be good.

No surprise on the last thing, they don't want him showing up back in their division so they put a poison pill in the agreement.
