well my rainy day women told me that the horizon had been defeated because its a big ol' goofy world in which most of us are to busy trippin' billies watching a lighthouse.

So who's forcing you to read the posts of people you believe are negative?

Forcing me....no one, but it's hard not to read them when every thread gets taken over by them, by a minority of the people here. I have no problem with people expressing themselves or their opinions, but c'mon....does it have to be in almost every thread?

It's tough to give constructive criticism on a fan web site. I agree there has been a lot of negativity lately. Times are tough. The tone this summer overall seems negative, I think the economic situation has a lot to do with that. This bad mojo will pass. Come Jan 1 people will be posting new tour rumors and hoping for another season.

Almost every thread??? I can't say that I read EVERY thread but I haven't noticed any more than a handful where there have been critical comments. And I feel the same way about those that I feel about criticism of sports teams - if the fans didn't care, they wouldn't bother to complain. There's bound to be some extremists but I'd rather have it like this than change the site to JIMMYWORSHIP.COM.

I am on BN daily, and see the thread titles and know before I even open it what it will contain. So I don't open it. I pass it by. JB's music and concerts have a value to me that is unique. Just as it is unique to each and every other person on this board and everyone else who is inspired by his music. So, in short. I don't care what you think you are entitled to when you go to a show. I don't care if you whine and complain about not hearing the songs you wanted to hear. I don't care if you think ticket prices are too high. I don't care if you think there are too many drunk people at the shows. You are expending tremendous amounts of energy on issues which you cannot affect in any measure. Why? Does it relieve your frustration to vent? Obviously not because you continue to vent on this board. If you like his music, then drop his disc into the player and crank it up. Or plug your Ipod in and get lost in the music that first pulled you in. This crap here is simply that. Crap. Breathe In Breathe Out Move On. Just my $0.02

If the worst thing in your life is that you are not happy with what Jimmy Buffett is doing these days, then consider yourself lucky. There are a lot of people who have it worse then you do :D

I won't see Buffett this year. I will set up my speakers in the back yard, start a campfire, pop some beverages, make some sangria, have some friends over and have a hell of a time because I love the music. Hope you all have as much fun as me doing your own thing with the people you want to be with.

For the person that started this thread- Amen! I think we all have more things to worry about, b**** about and fret over than the person and the lifestyle that brought us all here to begin with. There is enough negativity and worry in this world these days, I would prefer to allow this spot and this lifestyle to be the one bastion of freedom and fantasy left in this world FINZ UP!

Just finalized the arrangements last night. Staying at the Courtyard, and setting up the tailgate around 10am for some Breakfast. We'll be out in the Courtyard lot Friday night, feel free to stop on by.
PHNJ and C-Dawj - sorry for stomping on this thread but I was wondering if you wouldn't mind 2 extra party crashers Friday night in the Courtyard lot? My wife and I are driving up from NJ in the morning and still deciding whether to stay in Boston that night or try to getting our room at the Taunton Holiday Inn one night earlier? Years past we have stayed in Boston the previous night or two and whooped it up a bit (whale watch, Barking Crab, Boston Harbour Hotel Spa (for the wife of course), etc.) but funds are little tight this year so we're trying to cut back and think of alternatives. Would love the opportunity to hang out with some other PH's (and BN'rs). Let me know. Cheers and long live JB!

This thread is a breath of fresh air to me! :D

To me, BN is a place to celebrate all that is Jimmy and the CRB, and share happy memories and cool experiences with each other.

All of the negativity honestly makes my head spin... as a person with an opinion, not as a moderator. We all do have our rights to our opinions, and there's nothing wrong with constructive criticism... just as there's nothing wrong with 'drinking the koolaid', and choosing to let Jimmy make his own decisions, and acting on them as you see fit.

I don't think I'll ever understand stomping your feet, pitching a hissy fit, and vowing to spend your entertainment dollars elsewhere. I may just make the same decision, but I won't blame Jimmy for it, and won't feel a need to make a proclamation about it. We all have the right to choose.

I do try to ignore the negative threads, but I can't. Why? Because we don't all feel the same way, and I always fear that the bitching and moaning from the jaded will ruin it for the people who still enjoy it, and still appreciate all that Jimmy will give. We have just as much right to speak up, hold hands, and sing kum-ba-ya along with our praises.

Thank you Jimmy!

Thank you Tina, Nadirah, Ralph, Doyle, Peter, Mac, Roger, Robert G, Jim, Mr Utley, and John, and handfuls of guest artists each tour!

Keep on keepin' on!! :D :D Keep on a rockin' me, baby!! :D :D
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
I’m still gliding as I go flying down this endless wave
