Not sure about the exact date. I want to say 1994 at Popular Creek in IL. I believe this was the last time he played Popular Creek due to it closing. Whenever Jimmy played his last show at Popular, that was my first show.

What an awesome place to see Jimmy! How many people do you think were there? Did you get to meet him? This would be my dream concert.

Deer Park looks like a really nice place to see a show.

I was in a couple of nights--maybe 20 people max. I did get to have a drink or two with him--was with my best friend who was married to a Navy man stationed there. Had lots of laughs, he was very country back then. Have always wanted to meet him again just to tell him that. I know he would NEVER remember (it was in the 70's remember), but I've never forgotten. Have followed him ever since. May be one of his most long-running fans. Am having my 60th birthday/retirement party next month and it's a Margaritaville party--lots of cooked animals and rum and bullsh** by the ton; party will last way past dawn and we'll have too much fun.
