The sprints look like the ones I saw late last night. Not to mention the results for the Women's 100M are already posted so definitely the sprints are not live.

Yep.. for me I;m just excited to see the best athlete win. (except in the case of China IF they are using and abusing underage children) I was jumping up and down when Bolt won for Jamaican... it was the first gold for their country...ever.....

They have used underage gymnast in the past why would anyone believe they have changed now in the face of a spineless IOC?

I would sure like to know how the Chinese gymnast that one the bronze sored higher then Alicia when on here second vault her knees hit the matt. Unfreaking believable.

I just got to watch that..

Horrible scoring, no way should have received higher marks for such a poor performance.

I just got to watch that.. Horrible scoring, no way should have received higher marks for such a poor performance.

Bela karolyi didn't think much of the scoring either. No surprise

Well the Chinese gymnast that recieved generous scores on the vault just blew her floor routine. Kinda of said to see the tears. although I haven't been happy with the Chinese for the age scandal you can't hold it against the girls themselves. they are just pawn in a communist system.

US got robbed of a medal in the Womens uneven bars event final. Natasia and the Chinese girl tied on the event. There is no longer an awarding of double medals at the Olympics so some convulted tie beaker was used to award the gold medal to the underaged Chinese gil.

And he looks like a "real" sprinter, unlike the 'roided-up guys in the past.

A little late because I didn't log on my computer all weekend but I can't imagine a human having that kind of speed. I was a sprinter in high school, and a pretty good one too, but at my best this guy would make me look like I was jogging.

I didn't stay up to watch it last night, but just read about it.

Nastia wasn't my favorite gymnast coming into this, but her quotes about what happened show a class-act athlete. I'm sure there is inner disappointment, but perhaps there is some solace that one day the other gal will lose her gold medal because of shady practices.

Who knows, but I have enormous amount of respect for Nastia now.

I really don't understand the age thing.
Apparently it was proven/admitted, the Chinese had an underage medalist in gymnastics in the 2004 games and the IOC allowed her to keep her medal.

Why wouldn't the Chinese continue to cheat for the 2008 games with the IOC essentially "sanctioning" the cheating?

If they are going to have the rule, they should enforce it.
They'll strip medals for other rule violations, but not this?

The whole question of whether there should even be an age requirement is another matter.

This rule totally confuses me. I thought there was a women's swimmer for the US that was 15 years old. She was a back stroker. Can't remember the name.

The IOC are a strange bunch of people. Anything and everything they do should be questioned.
