Yeah - still dont think they have figured what ingredients are going to go in the dish "stephanie rice" yet - they have been running competitions

Marathon? I watched it - the ending was quite inspiring - wont say who won - but USA is not that far out of it.
Missed that, just switched back over to diving and now a little track & field.
Did you see the last dives in the 10m??? pretty amazing ending to the competition!
Yes it was Jenny!!!!

Bob Costas' interview with the IOC president was interesting. The 2014 games are in Sochi, Russia...15 miles from the Georgian border. :o

I wasnt just talking about the final winner - there was just some GREAT diving! A friend and I were watching it and we were just "wow" after quite a few of the dives! I dont know how they can jump off of there :o

No kidding...knowing how much it hurts when you hit the water...over and over and over... :o I love how they all (or most) cried like babies when they first got up there, I think that's a rite of passage as a kid. I know I was terrified the first time I went off the "high dive"...but I was even more scared to go back down the ladder, so I jumped. Never was scared again.

Congrats Jenny! That was some great diving. I loved how that girl hugged Matthew and said, "You won the Olympics!!" He looked so stunned. :D

My husband stayed up and watched it....till 4 am this morning! :o
(It didn't come on until 1:30 am Central)

It was actually quite a game....the USA led by only four points with under 2½ minutes to play. (Ultimately winning by 11)

Glad it was a good game for those who stayed up to watch it...but I still wish they had chosen to show other events in real time rather than just this game. :-?

And I can't believe the Closing Ceremonies isn't going to start until 10:30pm? That's just plain stupid.

The Basketball was the only thing my husband was truely interested in during the whole games.
Not my favorite, but I think you probably underestimate how important BBall is to many, many folks.

We're getting the Closing Ceremony at 6p here. (?)

I don't underestimate basketball...I just think there were many other events that deserved equal consideration....ones that didn't include the multimillion dollar athletes. Why did everything else need to be tape delayed?

I do believe what you're getting at 6 are the final events...the actual ceremony doesn't start until late. Our final events start at 7, so the ceremonies should start around 9:30 for you.
