Just an FYI - face value of floor seats for the Rolling Stones last time they were in the NY/NJ area were 400 beans! Add on the TicketRaper(master) fees and they were close to $450 each! Buffet tickets on the floor at the same venue back in June were a little over $200. JB is still a much better deal and not that over priced as compared to others who have seriously jumped the shark such as Madonnaphansheridan wrote:Cons:
Ticket prices are pretty much on par with other top rock and roll acts. Yes Jimmy Buffett does make alot of money every summer from touring but his prices are comparable to Elton John who is charging $167 per ticket, Madonna charging $350 and 160 for her floor seats, Tom Petty charging $115 per ticket, Bruce Springsteen charging $95 for floor seats in a football stadium, and the Eagles price of $185 for good seats. All of these bands are comparable to Jimmy, and you don't get the parrotheads which are half of the show. The price on concert tickets and entertainment in general is going up, at $127 per ticket while still steep, seems to be on the lowside of high end entertainment
