The 80s are a blur...

1980 - graduated from grad school
1980 - moved to Texas and started with the company I still work for
1981 - got married
1987 - got divorced
1989 - met and married Lacey; still happily married 19 years later

I tried to have hair as long as possible but since I went to Catholic school so I had to keep it "reasonably" short.

We were teasing the teammate of mine who bought it and admitted it when that came out (I was in the 9th grade and went to an all boys school).

Albums and Cassette Tapes, VCR's, Atari and Nintendo, Lakers, 76ers, and Celtics, 49ers, Wooden Golf Woods, 30 channels of Cable TV (and HBO was a big deal), muscle cars and low riders, Van Halen, Def Leppard, the Beastie Boys, and country music was still Country & Western.

I still jump on youtube on occasion to watch the videos from my favorite bands of the 80's. I wasn't much into the top 40 stuff but I loved the 'alternative' stuff. Gary Numan, Devo, Pretenders, Blondie, The Cars - ok close to top 40 and of course Bowie. My first concert was Billy Idol at the Johnston War Memorial. Man what an incredible show. Amazing performance and all the babes were hot, wearing leather and looked amazing in it...so did the babe I was with. I was the second guy to have one of those rats tails in my HS. The thing I like most about the 80's is the music was fun and almost positive. Not dark and depressing as the 90's and even some of the current stuff is.
