Sounds like you already decided but my vote would be for MGM and I am thinking not just for the concert. I like the bigger, newer places over the old school feel of the Flamingo. One's close to the show, the other to the M'Ville so that's a wash. I do like the pool better at the Flamingo but other than that the MGM has every other advantage (at least that is important to me in Vegas).

yes, and they charge you about 4X more for the pleasure of being close to the venue. It is not worth it. Go Flamnigo and tram it to the venue.

We stay at the Flamingo & love it.
Liked having my room just upstairs from the Street Party, so we could go up/down during the day if we wanted.

The trams are soooo easy, there's no reason to stay at the MGM for concert night alone. Nothing really worthwhile Buffett related happened there other than the concert (last year), so while it's a fun place to visit for all that it offers (on it's own), I wouldn't do it just so I could hop on the elevator after the show.

We spent waaay more time between Hooters & the Flamingo than we did at the MGM. ;)
Some people never find it, some only pretend
But me, I just want to live happily ever after every now and then.

Well MGM has the biggest casino in Vegas if that means anything....

(Of course on this trip I'm not really interested in gambling...)

Without a doubt, go with the Flamingo. ALL the atmosphere you could want and getting to the MGM is a breeze.
