F**k Larry - we're talking about Texas. It really wouldn't surprize me if there was a law on the books against it. According to the story there is. We're talking THE BIBLE BELT.

After all the Texas constitution is bigger than the US and it's still illegal to carry wire cutters in your back pocket

That being said I still miss the hell outta the state!!!

a friend told me this story about 10 years ago and this thread reminded me of it......his wife had a battery-powered anatomically correct "friend" for when he was on the road ( he was a trucker). One night she went to get her "friend' out of her nightstand only to find the batteries missing. She called her husband, really p*ssed off, only for him to swear he hadn't taken them.....suddenly her anger turned to silence. WTF??? They had 2 kids, a girl age 11 and a son 13. Which one took the batteries? To my knowledge they never found out, but when he got home his wife had him install a lock on the nightstand. :D

I'm honestly guilty of dropping the f bomb in front of my son when he was that age. Several adults in his life were. When he was about 2 he dropped the f bomb at daycare. His dad's sister and I were both blamed for it until his dad dropped the f bomb later that night.

My point is that just because a person cusses doesn't make them a bad parent or necessarily a bad role model. My son has always been a good kid, never got in trouble, finished high school and within 2 weeks was in technical school; completed his training passing tests with passing colors while holding down a job - he's a certified Harley Mechanic. He had his "harley" job and his own apartment just prior to his 20th birthday and was disgusted at all his friends who were still living off mom and dad and not taking any responsibility for themselves at all.

I'm a great f*&^ing role model........but I do drop the bomb with alarming frequency.....and so does my daughter....but my take on it is that it's just a word...I don't give words that much power. She knows when it's appropriate and when it's not......she's a f*&^ing great kid.

I said it to a Neiman Marcus sales clerk once. Embarassed the hell outta my mom. The clerk was trying to be too helpful. Held up this gawd awful dress and proudly exclaimed "This dress is just you!!!" I looked at her and said "Lady I wouldn't wear that to a f-ing dogfight"

My mom just handed me the credit card and went out to smoke.

Yep, guilty! :o

I sometimes slipped and cussed in front of all three of my kids and they all turned out great!

Same as drinking, you do it in front of your kids, but they learn at an early age that there are just some things that grownups do and kids don't. Drinking is probably worse (in regards to role model), since in some cases there are laws that prohibit consumption ....

The store closest to me always has a ton of screaming kids ...

They wouldn't be able to hear anything ...

Sometimes I put my earphones in and plug in my iPod, makes for a much better Wally World shopping experience.
