Jimmy WILL play at Toyota Park in 2009

Looks like some of us will be changing hotel reservations!

My thoughts exactly.

My guess is if he plays a Saturday show it'll be either on 7/25 or 8/15. Why, b/c he always plays Chicago when the Cubs are in town.

Another poster said it'll be 2 Saturdays (8/8 and 8/15), which makes sense since he's playing 8/6 in Cincy and 8/13 in Detroit (ruling out the Thursday & Saturday shows at Toyota). With the tour going through Cincy and Detroit the weeks of 8/2-8/15, I doubt that leg of the tour would run all the way back through July 25th (when's the last time he's played more than a 2-3 week leg?). I'm betting on an 8/15 show at Toyota, w/ a strong liklihood of a 8/8 show as well.

Since Jimmy and the band use Chicago as home base for 2-3 weeks, I don't think the home schedule of the Cubs is a big factor.

I doubt he'll do 2 Chicago shows on Saturday, simply because he has to play Alpine on a Saturday.. He'll most likely put a Thursday Chicago show before either an Alpine or another Chicago show..

Which would leave these Saturdays as options while the Fire are out of town:
7/25
8/8
8/15

There's a bunch of hotels in a complex on Cicero, just south of Midway--I checked out a few of them and booked at the Fairfield Inn.
