I look at this way. I have anywhere from 1 day to about 40 years left. I stayed alive through Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and Bush. So another 40 years of the same won't bother me.

Add Kennedy, Eisenhower and Truman for me, but I don't want another 40 years. Imagine being 96, sitting in the corner and drooling all over myself. :o

So basically, another 40 years won't change a thing.

I say we pass a constitutional amendment and reelect Bush for 4 more years. Because who are all the haters in this country going to hate once he's gone and who will we blame all of our countries ills on?
And what about all the comedians and talk show host who won't have Bush around to take cheap shots at for laughs.
For all these people, 4 MORE YEARS, 4 MORE YEARS...
COME ALONG LET'S HAVE SOME FUN,
THE HARD WORK HAS BEEN DONE
WE'LL BARREL ROLL INTO THE SUN,

There will always be some idiot politician to blame. Or we can just blame our parents. Nothing is my fault.

You mean if Barack Obama is elected, all the country's problems aren't going to be instantly solved on January 20, 2009 when he takes the oath of office? I'm shocked.

Racism is so 20th century.
In that case, the people of Pennsylvania are definately a bunch of racists.
They had an African-American candidate for governor in 2006 (his name happens to be Lynn Swann-THE Lynn Swann), and he was soundly defeated.

OH WAIT-I forgot!
He had an "R" after his name.
How dare he! What a race-traitor.

Or that he's a Marxist-Socialist DOOFUS and there's still a few of us left who really DO love America and want to KEEP it America.

Yes we are. We refused to elect as governor someone who's sole qualification was that he was a great football player.

Which makes him about as qualified to lead as "Barry," who was/is a great marble player.

And, with your above statement, am I safe to ASS-U-ME that you agreed with Mr. Swann's views on the issues? :D

Admittedly I'm old and have a lousy memory, but I don't recall him having much to offer as far as "views on the issues". I'm not sure what the Republican party in PA was thinking when they officially endorsed him ..... unless they figured they didn't have much chance of unseating the incumbent (Ed Rendell) and decided to go the "celebrity" route. I'm a registered non-partisan so I really don't care too much about the R/D thing. But you gotta bring more to the table than being in the Pro Football Hall of Fame to get my vote.

*EDIT* Upon further review (caused by my regaining my sanity on the commute home), I believe I totally missed the point of the original question. Allow me to restate my answer as follows:

Hell no, I'm an Eagles fan!

On an "interesting" note, my boss has given us all permission to work from home next week if we don't want to deal with the hindrances of the DNC.

I wasn't going to take her up on that offer until today when my husband's coworker's cop-friend said they received a message from the local blood-donation agency (Bonfils) to encourage everyone to donate because (to paraphrase) in the event of a catastrophy related to DNC events, we want to be prepared. :o :o :o
