Hatred can lead to some unintended consequences

Arkansas vote to ban adoption or foster parenting to unmarried couples

In addition to stopping the gays from adopting, this may force children that tragically lose their parents from living with relatives that are not married. Nice job there Arkansas.

My mother's side of the family is from Ark. :-? :-?

When my dad retired they moved to Ark - one of the roads near their home was a state hightway - made of gravel. At one time the area they live in was somewhat behind the times.

"Arkansas needs to affirm the importance of married mothers and fathers," Family Council President Jerry Cox said.
I wish they would affirm the importance of children having someone that loves them unconditionally, no matter who they are. :-?

Absolutely.
This is obviously a BAD thing for the children, whose best intrests these doofuses calim to be concerned with.

So. let me see if I understand this-
the child/children CAN'T go to the home of an UN-married couple who would love and provide for them, but they CAN stay in a shelter being "cared for" by a bunch of 9-5ers.

What happens if no married couple adopts them?
Do they get put down like stray animals?

Not your finest hour, Arkansas.

Very well said.

I just don't get people like this, do they have nothing better to do with their time. I think the state of Arkansas had better things to worry about then this.

OMG...we are soooo on the same page here. I've been trying to hold back from posting my inbreeding comments...thanks for doing it for me.

Obviously inbreeding has resulted in the low (or non existent) IQs that allowed these morons to come up with this brilliant plan...

Not every measure that gets placed on the ballot is voted into law. Let's wait until November, maybe the people of Arkansas are brighter than the dipsticks who are behind this.

Maybe we can start a "HILLARY FOR GOVERNOR" (of Arkansas) movement to stop this crap.

Kudos to you, Joe.
Sorry the people running your state don't seem to get it. It's nice to see you do.
