Wow! some of you lead interesting lives.

I'm afraid of heights...so much of what is daring to me prolly wouldnt be to you...Most involve flying machines of one type or another.

Passenger in a two seater airplane (landed on unpaved runway)
Helicopters in Houghton Lake when 14 and again 2 years ago in Hawaii.
DC 3 in Honduras (that's one really OLD plane)
Hot air balloon which I rode in again after crashing into a tree the first time.

Riding across the Mackinac bridge with high winds causing waves to blow across the approach. (that's one REALLY high bridge)

I'm pretty much a non daring person. I never drank before legal...grew up in the sixties and never tried ANY illegal drugs, never smoked a cigarette, worked at the same company for 31 years....(daring will never be something I'm known for..I think all my mattress tags are intact  )

I got divorced after a lousy 2 year marriage at 22. My daughter was 6 months old. Swore I'd never do it again. I would raise my little girl alone and use men for what they were intended. Met and dated the new guy 6 months later. He moved in with me soon after. On the one year anniversary of our meeting, I asked him what we should do to celebrate. I mentioned my girl friend said we should drive to Tahoe and get married...he said, I will if you do....I said yea right.....he dared me to.....well, I took the dare, and that new guy has been hanging around 23 years and 3 more kids later, so I guess it's gonna work out.

Trusting a man I'd only known a year with my daughters future was the most daring thing I've ever done.....it was a great gamble.

HMM
Wing Walking?? Nah (until the Lomcevak)

Running up to a burning International Travelall and pulling two young ladies out? Maybe
Giving an Emergency Tracheotomy?? Well the first one.. The second time I was OK.
Probably taking the gun from the hand of a MAD ex-Husband..
I walked around the corner and Saw him.. Friday night (we hadn’t seen Friday in months)
I am almost off work.. I got money to burn at home and Places to see..
I know THIS is gonna cause cops and paperwork.. And time I am MAD..
I send the Boys He is looking for into the freezer.. (two were freezer rats, they lived in there
They could Hide..) walk up .. OH great I kinda know him.. (still MAD)
I get close.. He says “Dude I’m not looking for you”
I take the damb thing away put him down.. And waited for the cops..

Told the ex-wife last night I would not be helping her move this weekend...does that count?

Maybe that goes on the stupid things list? Or the list of things that I don't know what all will happen to me after???

I'm not a daring person. But I'm really out of shape, tend to be shy and am not athletic at all. And one month ago I hired a personal trainer and have been meeting with him 3x a week for the past month. I've also been doing cardio the other days. Every day before my appointment I think about canceling. I get nervous. But then I go and am glad. Big step for me.

I remember this one time I took the stairs instead of the elevator. I had no idea the 2nd floor was so far away. :o

the most daring?
I would tell y'all but you'd probably lose all respect for me

Oh, I tried some Old Speckled Hen beer from Great Britain a few days ago....never again...does that count? :D

I went skinny dipping at the beach a few times. Of course "not so skinny dipping" would be a more appropriate discription.

i dont have any crazy stories about marriage, being 22 im glad im still single. i think at this point my most daring times come on the mountain...maybe dropping 20+ foot cliffs or splitting tree's while having nno idea what is on the other side. doesnt sound very daring compared to some :( but the way i figure it this site will be around a while so I can come back in a few years once my life gets complicated and tell some more stories :D

on a different note most daring person I know would be my mom: daring to raise two young boys (1.5 years old and 8 months pregnant with me) after her husband took his life. 22 years later i think about her everyday and how strong she is. she is the best person in my life, she would also beat the crap out of me :D
If I had it all to do over again, I'd just get myself drunk and I'd jump right back in...

Jumped out of a plane.

Twice.

A friend told me the first time didn't count as I didn't know what to expect and I had to do it again ....

Not sure if that was daring or stupid...

And I am terrified of heights.....

Ive done some really stupid stuff...not sure how daring

ive been arrested...and taken to jail and chained to the wall...

i went spearfishing while diving...i held the bag of dead fish...

ive jumped off waterfalls in a cave...ive also jumped off waterfalls outside...

i crossed the belize/guatemalen boarder on foot...just with my family...

i repelled 300 feet into a limestone sinkhole

my grandfather let me fly his plane and tried to get me to land it....

i have some street signs...

there is probably more...

in high school i made DILF shirts and put pictures of our hot teachers on them...i got in some trouble for that...and erased out of the senior class pic because i wore it...

I did a ride along at Las Vegas Speedway in a Nascar last year in Vegas. I've bungie jumped several times. I was in the middle of a shoot out in New Orleans.

In another boring entry I did what to me was one of the toughest things ever. I walked into my college's fitness center. I need to do cardio on nights I have school. I walked up to the 20yo blonde cuties to register, I went in to the gym filled with the various guys from sports teams doing their weights and did my 45 minutes of cardio. I have been wanting to do this for a long time but talked myself out of it. I thought I'd be the oldest and most out of shape person there. This time I figured f it. I am so relieved that first time is over though.
In my former healthy life I did 4 philly to shore bike rides. I would love to be able to do this again. This time I'd have a padded seat as this is the one thing I remember about doing those rides.
