for Better.....

is one of my favorite cartoons. In fact it is the one I read first every night. I'm glad she isn't quitting. Should be interesting....

I read it faithfully when I'm down south, but I don't get it up here and don't always think to check it online...like I do with Mutts (my fave). When Farley the dog died I thought I was going to die too...I cried so hard over that comic.

I'm glad she's not giving up after all, she has a lot of faithful fans who have appreciated her take on 'real life' over all these years. :)

This strip had one of the saddest storylines I ever read back when I was in college in the late '80's. The family dog dies. Ugh, our whole lunchroom/meeting place table was in tears. Well, maybe not tears, we guys may have been too cool for that at the time . . .

Yup, that was my comment about Farley. I even had the book Remembering Farley...finally gave it away because I couldn't go through that ordeal again.

The only thing that comes close is when Mutts does a week or so of Shelter Stories every year...heartbreaking.

It is one of my favorite comics, probablly my favorite to read. I've grown up with the Patterson kids and feel like they are close family friends..

I go to the website every once in awhile and re-read the secion on Farley. Those strips bring tears to my eyes.

I've been a huge fan of this strip for years. I'll miss new stuff since I've always enjoyed the fact that her characters get older. I'm not sure how I'll react to the new concept since I didn't enjoy the flashbacks that have been used frequently the past year.

I'm going to miss it the way it was.

I thought Lynn sent ended the current run of "For Better or For Worse" with two really good strips this past weekend. I was actually sad to see it end, but the way she did it was absolutely wonderful...

Once upon a time, I remember Model Railroading doing a feature on her husband's garden railroad - the real-life one that she occasionally worked into the stories.

I just picked up on this strip after Farley died.
A friend had told me how moved and upset she was, and as a former cartoonist, I had to check it out.
I was stunned to find the strip was going to wrap this weekend, but I guess the time had come to say goodbye...

My local paper is dropping the new updated strip.
There's a pretty strong "love it - hate it" debate going on down here, and it may still return.

I'll miss Lizardbreath 8)
