The Repbulicans need to find someone else besides Rich from "Big and Rich" fame to sing songs at their conventions. "Raising McCain" could be one of the worst songs ever written.
What's wrong with Big and Rich. I love those guys. Yuh, that song is awful. At least they didn't haul out Martina McBride to do Independence Day. Knowing what the song is about, I cringe every time I hear Hannity playing it as his leadin.

I actually do not mind Big and Rich either. The Republicans need a bigger name. The Democrats have Springsteen and Jimmy Buffett and a cast of others. Robert Davi and Rich (where was Big).

Can Gretchen Wilson please ditch the trailor park image for one evening? I mean, she is at a National Convention.

Did anyone see the sign Raisin McCain? Cobert did a funny one on that last night.

There are a lot of NASCAR fans that really like that image thing. :)

My favorite sign was the word Maverick spelled wrong...I was still laughing about that this morning

Yea, how ridiculous is that. It's like he just tried to find the song that would most paint him as patriotic.

Palin Power: Fresh Face Now More Popular Than Obama, McCain

:o :o :o :o :o :o

The new data also shows significant increases in the number who say McCain made the right choice and the number who say Palin is ready to be President. Generally, John McCain's choice of Palin earns slightly better reviews than Barack Obama's choice of Joe Biden.

Perhaps most stunning is the fact that Palin's favorable ratings are now a point higher than either man at the top of the Presidential tickets this year. As of Friday morning, Obama and McCain are each viewed favorably by 57% of voters. Biden is viewed favorably by 48%.

Fifty-one percent (51%) of Americans believe that most reporters are trying to hurt Palin's campaign, :o :o :o Not in America! We have a free press :-? :-?

Among unaffiliated voters, 52% said that McCain made the right choice for his running mate and 45% said the same about Obama. :( Lightning Bolt, go get'em. You have more work to do :P

She earns positive reviews from 65% of men and 52% of women. DUH :o

However, following the Wednesday night speech, voters are fairly evenly divided as to whether Palin or Obama has the better experience to be President. Forty-four percent (44%) of voters say Palin has the better experience while 48% say Obama has the edge. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! 90% of George Bush votes....errrrrrrrr............. Sarah Palin voted 90% of the time with Barack Obama.......wait a second........ OK, you can't get 90% into this equation any way you try to spin it...... I'll wait for some BN help :D :D

I'm not sure if that was the ABC poll since you didn't post where the poll numbers came from, but if it was the ABC poll, here are some things you left out:

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid= ... refer=home

The survey found that 50 percent of adults polled on Sept. 4, the last day of the Republican National Convention, said Palin lacks the right experience to be president if she succeeded to the office.

The poll found that 66 percent of voters said Delaware Senator Joseph Biden, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, has the right experience to be an effective president. Twenty-one percent believed Biden, presidential candidate Barack Obama's running mate, lacks the right experience to be president.

The poll found that Obama benefited more from his selection of Biden than McCain did by picking Palin. While 25 percent said they were more likely to vote for McCain because he picked Palin, 19 percent said they were less likely to support his candidacy. A majority, 55 percent, said the choice won't affect their vote.

By contrast, 22 percent of voters said Biden's selection for the Democratic ticket made them more likely to vote for Obama, while just 10 percent said they were less likely to support the Illinois senator's presidential candidacy. Again, a majority -- 67 percent -- said the choice won't matter in their vote.
And then there's this:
A Rasmussen poll found that the Palin pick made 31% of undecided voters less likely to plump for Mr McCain and only 6% more likely.
That's not good considering John McCain already has the Republican base shored up. He enjoys more support among Republicans than Obama does among Democrats.

..and that poll also note that 42% of adults polled indicated that they felt that the freshman governor of the 47th most populated state (less that 680,000 as of 2006),
and who prior to that was a mayor of a town of 8,000 IS PREPARED to lead the world's most powerful country of nearly 350 million population???
A person not selected by the people... but presented unto the people by a small committee.

:o :o :o How deaf, dumb, and/or STUPID does that sound at face value???

If there was NO PHOTOGRAPH or squishy FAMILY BIO attached to the question,
how does that even sound like an intelligent question to respond "YES" to???
I'd likely bet the likely reason would be:

... "I'll vote for ANYONE but the black guy." :-?

What if you said the Governor of North Dakota, Wyoming or Vermont? They all have fewer people than Alaska, but because they are in the contiguous (or lower) 48 States, they seem to have more credibility in many peoples' minds.

Didja hear that Palin's glasses are the hottest new fashion accessory? The frames are roughly $350, add in the lenses and you're talking some serious coin. My prescription would make the cost between $700-$800 easy...maybe more. :o :o :o

Yea I think it's more the anybody but Obama. Like Skibo said, the Republicans now seem to be adopting the Anybody But The Other Guy, similar to what the Dems did in 2004 with Kerry.

And they are twisting themselves into a pretzel trying to defend McCain's pick - http://www.comedycentral.com/videos/ind ... oId=184086

I doubt Cindy McCain's outfit will be the next new hot fashion style, considering her entire outfit came in at a cool $300,000
