I'll calmly explain to her that her misguided facination with this franchise is morally and intellectually wrong. The NFL bent over backwards to help Houston regain a franchise? I don't think you know what you are taking about SP. Houston was bidding against LA for the franchise and despite having a superior package including financing already arranged etc the franchise was awarded to LA based on them getting their act together. They didn't so Houston got it. So don't tell me they were bending over backwards to award us a franchise. It was LA's and they decided they didn't want it.surfpirate wrote:

The perfect move for the NFL would be to rename the AFC North the AFC Central like it should be, move Houston in and move baltimore to the CFL or USFL or some other league where we don't have to look at them any longer.diverg wrote:The NFL bent over backwards to help Houston regain a franchise? It's all relative and a matter of perspective. You are absolutely correct. In a decision between L.A. and Houston ... you betcha, the NFL wanted L.A., even if L.A. doesn't want them.
