I've agreed with that quote for years.
What *I* find tragically comic is all the people who think Obama is too inexperienced to be President, but who are loudly supporting Gov. Palin, and trying to doublespeak their way around why *her* inexperience isn't as inexperienced as *his* inexperience...y'know?

The best man or woman for the job is sitting on their back porch sipping an adult beverage and thinking, "You couldn't PAY enough to put up with the crap that job brings!"
And besides that, the best man or woman for the job couldn't get elected, because they'd never put up with the partisan poitical CRAP it takes to get elected today, sucking up to their particular party......

Your right Jack. Take Jimmy for example; I am not sure he would be a good President but he runs a highly successful, multifaceted, international operation. He knows how to hire good people and get the most out of them. He seems to manage a large sum of money well and cares about people and then world around him. Seems like as good a set of qualifications as we can come up with to me, aside from having run a slightly smaller country with a lot of success (it might be easier if we had a political minor leagues, maybe local government is summer ball, state government is class A, federal government is class AA, and leader of other countries is class AAA). Why would he leave a job like his for a job where the media and those who dislike him are going to rip him apart of every thing in his past? More power to those who are willing to do it, but I definately understand why a lot of very successful people stay out of it.
My mom spit me out when she was 15 and my brother when she was 17 so I don't care about Palin's daughter being knocked up. I guess you can say she should have put a sock on the pickle or had the sense to be on the pill but it's too late now so........
On the plus side, if she does not become a baby factory like her mom she can have that little squirt out the house and be kid-free while she's in her 30s
As far as the presidential race goes....this story is about as relevant as Obama's half brother.
It just hit me, in a matter of months Palin will be a GILF
"It's crazy and it's different, but it's really bein' free"
would look better if I spelled daughter right the first time....
Oh, absolutely! Anything to keep us off the issues. This is "vp shooting someone" or "president having affair in Oval Office" stuff. It's gold, Jerry, gold!
Dare we see what a Democratic Feminist thinks of the evil Gov from the north:
“We may be seeing the first woman president. As a Democrat, I am reeling,” said Camille Paglia, the cultural critic. “That was the best political speech I have ever seen delivered by an American woman politician. Palin is as tough as nails.”

After all, he has been running his own campaign for the past eighteen months.
If Obama is really running that campaign, why is he paying David Plouffe $144,000 a year to be the campaign manager? [1]

Maybe I've been living under a rock or in the basement of my ex-girlfriend's outhouse, but hasn't Sarah Palin been running a STATE for the last couple years?
A state that produces 20% of our nation's energy?
I won't even bring up the fact that she took on the corrupt republican establishment in that STATE and WON, defeating an INCUMBENT Republican governor.
Tell me again what Obama's done?

checking the blogs I found this from an astute observer of America and it's needs...
"I've been watching the news all morning, like everyone else — and (I) keep hearing about the issues related to `teen pregnancy.' ... Well, I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place,"
Any guesses who this might be?? Special prize for whoever's correct...
Take me for what I am, a star newly emerging.
I accept the new found man, and I set the twilight reeling.

I'll exempt myself since I happened to run across the quote online right before I dropped in here. I think the "astute observer" has a ghost writer.
