I was laughing at both the typo 'googles', and the thought of the goggles!
Y'all are in for some extra funny sights tomorrow!

Actually, Jimmy's two concerts in Chicago were rescheduled that year, and refunds were offered since the date was two weeks later.

Part of me wants to see a Jimmy Buffett show in a tropical storm. I'd like to see him put on the rain slicker and swim googles....
Swim googles!

Floaties better be involved. The bright orange ones.
How about a life vest....

I would say we are entitled to a refund. Not because of the weather, but because of the same retread setlist/show.
We usually see 3-4 shows in a given year. We are cutting it back to going into one show next year. We'll still do the tailgating at the various venues. But with 40+ shows under my belt, I refuse to continue to line JB's pockets for the lackluster concerts we have been getting recently.
Yes, I realize JB will not feel the financial pain of us not going to 3-4 show next year.
Cheers,
Kevin

How about the fact that it wasn't even a hurricane? Just a big ol' swirling rain storm? Rain or shine...

With 40+ shows under your belt, you are surprised at the setlist? Wasn't it Einstein who claimed insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results?
Would you like some cheese....

I had a similar thing happen recently, but with the DMB. They were scheduled to play Sacramento (and Utah) on Aug 25. When LeRoi died on the 19th, we thought they'd cancel. The venue and press releases assured us that the show would go on (as did other shows scheduled before ours), but on the day of the show, around noon, we got a call from Ticketmaster saying it had been postponed. The venue found out at 10 am that day! In DMB's defense, it was obviously a good reason for postponment.. the funeral was scheduled in Virginia for the next day. However, they waited another week+ before telling us it would not be rescheduled. So, we lost our one DMB show in the last 2 years. At least you all got a show, and most got to attend. It could be worse...

It would be the right thing to do for the venue to offer refunds, especially if a refund was requested between the time the change was announced up until the show started.
Are people entitled? Probably not.

The guy sitting next to me at the concert told me that refunds were being given up until 1 hour, maybe 2 (I'm old and can't remember what I was told) before the show started! His wife decided not to go cause she didn't want to get wet

Her ticket was refunded. You just had to ask for it.
That's all I know about the subject.
Entitled

It was a simple time change on the day of the concert. I always plan on the whole day for the concert, that's just me. If it was a different day then maybe entitled.

Yep, been there, done that. Had
real nasty lightning and thunder a couple of years ago in Camden go along with torrential downpour .
