Funny Buffett Reference on "The Bob & Tom Show"

Been absent from BN for a while, but while getting ready for work this morning I heard something I needed to share.

Bob and Tom (of the "Bob & Tom Show", a nationally syndicated morning radio talk show - www.bobandtom.com ) were discussing a poll in the news that said about 60% of pet owners would rather live alone on a deserted island with their pet than their spouse. One of the guest comedians mentioned how his life with his spouse is more like "Long Island", while Bob said "I wouldn't mind my spouse because I live in paradise".

Tom replies, "Yeah, Bob, that's because your life is like a Jimmy Buffett song and his life is more like Alcatraz."

Thought I'd share!

I see as an Indy fan, you must be very familiar with Bob and Tom.

(I'm a Titans fan; going to the MNF game vs the Colts in October--woo hoo!)

Yeah, he's still on there. My personal favorite on the show.

I'm always amazed at how the crew never mentions anything specific to indianapolis. This is what I assume to be a desire to keep from distancing itself from a national audience by seeming referential to the Indy area. For example, any time Jimmy or any other big acts are in the area, even if the hosts are big fans of the artist, there's no mention to that artist being there (unless they mention going to "a show" in passing). Very interesting.

It's funny because all of the comedians that come to the studio for the show are always "en route to..." places such as Indianapolis, Bloomington, Cincinnati, Louisville, etc. Not hard to put two and two together!
