That he was, Garry. :( :( :( When I was young, and most had a crush on Paul or John, George was mine.
Ahhh, George , the "quiet Beatle"

I tried to convince myself I'm not old as I was reading this article.
(UNSUCCESSFULLY, I might add).

It is not a coincidence that these guys ......

.... are following the path of those wonderful early innocent days of the fab four.
The Beatles early press conferences were magic. They were so naturally funny.

Yep, their youthful innocence and humor really came out in "Help".... so many scenes seemed to be shot with no script..unlike "A Hard Days Night" where they seemed very uncomfortable

Does anybody know how to get that stuff off a flat screen monitor?

I really enjoyed "Help". I thought it was just a fun, silly movie....

George and John gone way too soon. I thought JB gave nice tributes to George in both "A Salty Piece of Land" and "Son of a Son of a Sailor"...really wonderful.

I still shake my head every December when the anniversary of John being shot comes around. I remember watching MNF with my dad when it happened. I was in the 6th grade.

I created a "Breakfast with the Beatles" playlist for my son on the Ipod, every Sunday morning we listen to The Beatles together and solo for a couple of hours. He really likes their music. He claps along to the early stuff. If everyone else is teaching their kids about classical music and what not, I wanted to try something different.

In case anyone wondered-Little Frank responds most to The Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, and The Allman Brothers. :D

Some people find this hard to believe, but the Monkees damb near invented music videos. Michael Nesmith was also a damb creative guy, easily the most talented Monkee. (and yes, that's Joe Namath in the video)
Thanks Surf,

That was great to watch again [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

Don't know if anyone answered this because I haven't checked. I think it was La Vie Dansante.

Did you get the "Help" DVD when it came out?
I still shake my head every December when the anniversary of John being shot comes around. I remember watching MNF with my dad when it happened. I was in the 6th grade.

The night John was shot, I was on duty as a police officer in Hawaii.
I got an urgent message to call an off-duty co-worker, so I stopped at a gas station to use their phone to call him.
(Remember-this was 1980 and nobody had cell phones- :o )
Anyway, I called him, and he told me what had happened.
What made it even MORE eerie was that I was calling from a gas station just across the street from the condos where John's assassin lived.

:(

One of these days I'm going to make it to Central Park / Strawberry Fields on 12/8

I remember seeing an interview with Yoko....the interviewer asked if she thought she would ever be able to forgive MDC (I will not mention his name)

Yoko mentioned a story about the Pope visiting his attempted assasin in prison and forgiving him.....she said, that was great of the Pope to do....but I am not the Pope, I am not ready to forgive....

:( :(

When I said "John's assassin" in my post above, I originally typed in his name, then thought, "NO, I'm not."
And the NON-Christian in me says forgiveness is BULLSH*T.
