I guess we'll agree to disagree because I'm hearing the opposite from the Mohegan tribe's chief's family. They are saying he'll open the restaurant and is supposed to play the arena, but no date is set yet.

And those "chiefs" up there in SE CT that are 1/18 Indian and got their tribal land after multiple arrests for selling tax free smokes for years surely can be trusted.

Figured to bump this since we at least now he'll be at Margaritaville on November 8th. I plan on heading down, and even if I don't get in, which I don't plan on it, figure there'll be other heads around. (That and I've ALWAYS wanted to see NKOTB.

I'm planning on being there too but will be staying at Foxwoods.

I have the official press release, it's a private party, 500-600 guests, 40 radio winners, Jimmy plays at 5 pm.

I think I remember seeing a sign that said capacity was something like 475.

They had a lot more in there for the private party the day before the opening!!...there had to be at least a 1000 people if not more!!

Oh you mean because of Capt Tony? Never thought of that, but it makes sense. I think JB can make the service and the show in one day though. The plane is his own afterall...

Only time I can or would say this:
I hope that Jimmy can make both. A good friend will have his last goodbyes. Would all of us rather see him there or at the show (and I have tickets). Not sure what I wish for in a time/place like this. If Jimmy tries to do both, it will be on a heavy heart. If it has to be one, I'm thinking he has to be in the Keys for the day.
I'll see what happens as of 4 tomorrow.

I just want to say that Mohegan Sun did a fantastic job allowing us parrotheads who didn't have tickets to the show tonight the ability to watch the show from the gambling floor adjacent to Margaritaville, as long as we left the aisle free for a "fire lane". I estimate that there was another couple of hundred people outside Margaritaville watching the show.
