nice photos.

Ravi...how far from the stage were you..? I'm familiar with the Wolf Den at Mohegan. There's an "inside" area with tables and seat and a pretty large stage. In the middle of the gaming area where you can hear the music.

We are no where near the Wolf Den. Margaritaville is in the new casino (Casino of the Wind).
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

what I really meant to ask was how big the performance area (if it was that) is.

The stage area was not really that big. The band seem crunched up together.

i did not have a good angle to her....she would step in front..by the time the flash went off...she would move....we were to Jimmy's right facing the stage....Jim Mayer was in front of us....Mike Utley was sorta blocked out by a palm tree. And Mac was hidden in the back with Peters replacement(can't remember guitarist name)...The set up was pretty tight to say the least!!!...and what they did in front of the stage to separate the people from the stage...they had all these plants lines up as a barrier.

Also Big Papi was in the house...saw him goung upstairs to VIP private area for friends and family!!

I couldn't believe that they were giving out an open bar for this one. For those that were there and didn't know, you could have anything if you walked up to the actual bar. Wife had a blue margarita just because she went up the the bar for the drinks and the bartender gave her that instead.
What a great time.

For the bad.
I was stopped at the entrance and asked if I was with any of the people behind me. I said no, because we weren't in any other time. We got in right away, they had to wait. If you guys are here. Sorry again for not thinking.

I went and had a great time. I live in NYC and love the Mohegan Sun. Its not to far away. Its just a beautiful casino. Without traffic the drive isn't bad. Luckily a friend was able to get tickets for my wife and I. I have never been in a Margaritaville. I thought it was neat and the food was actually very good. When we walked in, we were greeted with Maragritas and Landsharks. My wife took a landshark and then I did. At that point my wife's jaw dropped because I don't drink. (I am diabetic and it just really messes up my sugars). I had two Landsharks and that was probably enough (along with all of that fried food). We really enjoyed the show. We expected a greatest hits set list and that was what we got with a few exceptions. My wife and I made it to the Anguilla and Paris shows and we really enjoyed a free show with free refreshments and eats. My best desciption of the show is: a bunch of parrotheads sprinkled with newbies and people who were given a ticket and went because it was free. I am glad that the fans were able to make it in. BEST MEMORY: I saw a young woman outside with a sign that said "Will wash dishes for a ticket". I think she got in.
FUNNIEST MEMORY: A girl standing in front of my wife and I (who I don't think was a fan) texting to her friend the following: "Awesome time at Buffet with Big Poppy " Loved that text. Fan or not, that is classic with the mispellings. WORST MEMORY: No more shows this year. St. Bart's on NYE?

Otherwise, it was great time, a unique scene, and hopefully more shows in the future at Mohegan Sun.

Finally, the staff was great, very friendly and having a lot of fun.

My pictures are terrible, so I won't post them.

Fingers crossed for that one particuliar harbour in February 2009!!!
