I'll never forget.
I kept hoping it wouldn't rain today so I could fly the flag off the front porch.
It didn't, so I did.
Saill on to those who aren't with us...phin power to those that are left.

I'd venture to say that everyone on this board is less than 3 degrees of separation from someone directly affected....

right now I'm in tears listening to a witness account from someone that was staying across from the plaza. It's extremely moving.

Very true.....A good friend I grew up with had an office in one of the towers. He works for Oracle and was called the evening of Sept 10th and grabbed a red-eye to S.F. to work on a problem a client was having. My mom called me around noon the next day and told me Seth had an office in the WTC and hadn't been heard from. Of course we all thought the worst.
Seth finally was able to get thru to his Mom around 2pm and let her know he was OK, and she relayed the news to everyone else. We were fortunate Seth was OK, and my heart goes out to those families who weren't so fortunate.

Was living in New Jersey at the time of the attack and was supposed to have started that week at a new job about a block from the World Trade Center. Needless to say, I didn't start that week. Luckily the people I knew who were affected were only hurt.

Been watching very graphic footage on the History Channel. I really wish every American was watching this tonight. It's too wasy to forget the event. Way too easy.

I wish it wasn't raining so I could fly my flag.

I can't believe it was 8 years ago. I'm sure everyone here, remembers where they were, what they were doing and what their reaction was when they heard the news. I was working near Dulles airport and after they grounded all the flights, the sky was eerily silent with the exception of a military jet or two that would fly overhead.
My prayers go out to the victims, their families and the first responders.
