Does anyone know why Jimmy refuses to play Buffalo. Please no "I would not go to buffalo if my life depended on it" comments. I have heard them all of my life, however, one of the docs that I work with insisted something happened at a show here and now he refuses to come back, I mean if we can fill a football stadium on New Years Day with a snow storm to watch a hockey game, we can easily fill the Ralph for Jimmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was joking, but yes, a few do, usually older artists. The CDB and Haggard were here a year or two ago, and Dan Seals and Johnny Lee have played here, as well.

Back in the olden days, the Ken Lance Rodeo used to get big country stars to play -- Willie, George Jones, etc.

But no, no one as big as JB would play here; this is a little town of about 20,000.

I do wish JB would come to OKC, though. Would that it were.

I imagine Ada's pretty much like it always was. I actually grew up in the country, south of Stonewall. I call our county Pontotax (instead of Pontotoc) now because we have a 9.125% sales tax rate here in good ol' Ada, America. When I was growing up it was 4%.

Be nice...I"m an Okie and I love it...and I had family in Ada...and Davis...and Sulphur (accurately named little town with the prettiest and stinkiest little waterfalls flowing over the natural stones....smelling like rotten eggs! ) Hey, I can say that, my great grand-ma grew up there! :D

Have you heard that Sulphur is thinking of changing its name to "Sulphur Springs"? Seems that was what was originally supposed to be called when it was founded, but the name was too long, according to the postal service.

Don't know if they'll actually do the change or not.

In reply to the original question?

Because. :P :P

(yes, I'm being sarcastic, as he's not been in Denver for 4 years).

The first time my oldest son was in a swimming pool was in Buffalo.

At least you have semi-close shows, being in the Northeast. Closest show this year is/was a 12 hour drive for me....

If they didn't nix Truth or Consequences, NM, I don't think what you call your town.
