I know I've told this story before, but ...

The Forest Hills Tennis Stadium here in NY used to have concerts. When I was a kid, maybe 13 or 14, my brother and some of his friends went there to see The Monkees. My parents wouldn't let me go with him because they thought I was too young. The opening act for The Monkees was Jimi Hendrix.

And when American audiences saw Jimi for the first time, they booed him. Little did they know...

Sail on, Jimi..
