Sorry, Dave. I enjoyed the game.

But I agree that the officiating needed to be more consistent.

Best goal of the year so far:

And the goal he scored on the breakaway in the Winter Classic was excellent too.

I was not aware of that, congrats to the Bruins. Remember that it's not how you start, it's how you finish

Exactly. You don't want to be all Swedish and no Finnish.
Sort of like my skills).

Scratch this message (at least in the Chicago area, The local NBC decided to preempt the broadcast with a "Know Your Heritage" game show )
Edit.... never mind the game is "Sunday"

(Geez, you'd think a Saturday Hockey Game would be popular....)
BTW cannot get ANYONE in Chicago interested in Hockey... (I'd guess the most interested ones are the ones buying the tickets to go to the game...)

Not the greatest start but the Avs are only a few points out of a playoff position.

Kovalev and Thorton are the Captains for the All-Star Game. Kovalev, in case you are wondering, has a whopping 12 G and 21 A. There are 66 guys with better stats ahead of him. That's all star material right there.

Boston may be doing well and have been - but the season is not over. And the playoffs - well, if they magically make it to face the Wings, Boston will lose yet again.
And who the hell let Philly into first place? That's just WRONG. As wrong as Anaheim winning the Cup. Of course, they'll not stay there. It is the bouncy Atlantic.

Philly is actually not in first place; but they have made quite a run to get to where they are. The Atlantic should be interesting. The Northwest is even tighter with 13 pts separating the top team from the bottom. That's gonna be fun to watch.

Not much fun for the Pens this year. Guess they are waiting to click after the All-Star game.
Speaking of which, no Sid the Kid at the ASG.
Do you watch the ASG and/or Skills Competition?
I try to catch both, but prefer the Skills competition.

It's too bad about Crosby and the ASG. I normally don't but I'm going to try to watch the ASG this year. I'd love to watch the Skills Competition but I think it's on Vs which I don't get.

Kovalev wins MVP as the East wins in a shootout to break and 11-11 tie.

That's the way Gary Bettman wants hockey to be played... In the All Star Game he has WAY too many of the best stars in the game playing to want them to get hurt...
BTW, what do you think about the if you blow off the All Star Game you sit on the first game back??? Then Sid Crosby gets a pass for not playing (of course he DID show up...)
