Hi all, my first post. I went to paris. with questions that bothered me so .one of them was why doesnt he come to england apparently the stage manager john said all english fans should email him.or get a petition together. Captain Tony is considering starting up PH UK again if the interest is there this could add more weight to any pettion. But we need numbers to make this work, so come on you UK lurkers, make yourself known and heard....Stand up and be counted!!!

yes paris was quite simply amazing, i have seen Jimmy twice in the states but Paris is special, but we will need to be heard, like we were in paris, and i have pretty much been convinced to reform PHUK 'I guess its my job'
Jimmy is even being played on BBC radio 2!!!

Welcome my feet stink two!
Also, can you and Captain Tony
please shrink your avatars? If you need help, let me know. They're a wee bit too big.

I like Tony's avatar, its got my tie-dye Wrigley t shirt in it (plus the back of my head, which is unfortunate but unavoidable!)
Glad you had a safe ride back dude.

Amen to that - but in reality it wouldn't be anywhere else

Haha yeah i can't see him playing up here in Sheffield.
I meant that i would rather see him in Paris than anywhere in the UK...I can only imagine the English police would not look favourably on the tailgating in the street!

Absolutely - I was amazed that not one gendarme came by Rue Des Petites Ecuries all weekend, especially when Alex (Aamenard) started firing those beach balls around the street on Saturday afternoon, stopping the traffic and nearly getting those cute little French enfants, who were chasing them, run over!

yeah, I couldnt help myself.
So I would go to either or both shows, but with an add on.
We MUST grill out next year. I will gladly ship a portable grille over or buy a cheap one in Paris. I can have my fiance or parents overnight a boatload of american burgers Angus beef on dry ice and we can have a hell of a real tailgate party!

That sounds like an awesome idea for next year! i think ill maybe take some more beers aswell, so nobody has to resort to 'borrowing' beers from the display shelf in the pizza place!

I don't think the Gendarmarie dare go into that area, it was a bit of a dodgy neighbourhood
There was plenty of cheap booze in that supermarket up the road from the New Morning though, the only cheap booze we found in Paris all weekend!
I agree, if Jimmy comes to England it will be London, and it would be rude not to go, so count me in. And into PHUK too, if you'll have me.
EDIT: just chuckling here remembering the big cheer that went up from the crowd at the line "he went to England.."

London 2009

There certainly will be London next year. And who says so? Why JB himself. On leaving the New Morning on Saturday night - after seeing my first two Jimmy shows since first buying one of his albums back in '74, incidentally - I found myself standing next to his car and somehow in possession of a pair of inflatable breasts (as you do!); next thing I hear is "Give me my tits!", it was Jimmy. With befuddled, boat drunk logic I refused until he had, several times, promised to play England next year.
Oh, and for sure count me in for PHUK; met many more UK Parrotheads in Paris than I thought would be there.

Awesome - nothing like blackmailing one of the worlds top musicians with inflatable breasts!
