Who would be the 4 faces of your favorite teams franchise history?
For me, at least the 3 teams tattooed on my leg...
The Chargers would be Lance Alworth, Dan Fouts, Junior Seau, LaDanian Tomlinson
The Padres would be Tony Gwynn, Randy Jones, Dave Winfield, Trevor Hoffman
The Red Sox would be Ted Williams, Carl Yastremzski, Cy Young, Carlton Fisk

If you're going on names alone, you have to include Clarence "Choo Choo" Coleman.

He was the kind of player everyone hated. Unless he played for your team.

I am such a dork
When I read that, I immediately thought of my "work" team...then I figured out what it was REALLY about....but then I got the cool idea to PHotoshop a picture of our faces (there are four of us) onto a picture of Mt. Rushmore, so the story still has a happy ending!

While I don't necessarily disagree with you, this seems ignore all the history before 1953 (when Banks joined the team). It ignores all the history where the Cubs actually won something.
That being said...Go Cubs!

Well, I was born in 1960, so anything before that time I really don't know very well, or got to see them play.

Steelers: Jack Lambert, Mike Webser, Mean Joe Greene, and Myron Cope
Pirates: Roberto Clemente, Willie Stargell, Bill Mazeroski and Barry Bonds.
When he was a Pirate, Bonds was pure ability. Personally I don't have an issue with the steroids anyway. Stargell was a big figure, but his strikeout count was sick, but since he is bigger than life in Pgh, I'll leave him.
Penguins: Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr, Sidney Crosby, and Mike Lange[/quote]
Not a lot of hockey greats in Pgh, Mike Lange is a top quality announcer and deserves mention. Just as Cope did for the Stillers.
