I guess in a time like this, it does make us aware of the things we take for granted and maybe it will help us to become more appreciative of the simple pleasures in life.
I'm tired of......

So glad things are getting back to normal. Have missed you!... and it sucked going through the BB finale alone!
Do you need anything?

I miss you so badly
I love you madly
Feelin' so sad now since you've been gone, gone, gone

Welcome home Molly.......you are one tough woman! You have my undying respect FOREVER for what you have been through........
Take a hot shower, blow dry your hair and crank up that air conditioning! WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

I was without power for 13 days for a 5 min fix. Gotta love Center Point Energy. There is an article in the Houston paper today about the Reliant Energy (a wholly owned subsidiary of Center Point Energy) complaining that the power outage cost them 3.5 million in revenue. BOO HOO.
I do have to say that because of the power outage my refrigerator is as clean as it was the day I bought it.
My wallet is empty now after going shopping to replace all the stuff I had to throw out of my fridge and deep freeze.
I spent all day this past Saturday cleaning, because I couldn’t clean for 13 days. Do you know how much dirt gets tracked into the house when the window and doors are always open? Lots. During the power outage I had my kids sweeping the carpets with whisk brooms just to keep up with the dirt.

I agree with everything Carol said----the first thing I did was start the washer--2 weeks of laundry to do and Larry used the vacuum----stuff tracked on the carpet----UGHJump Up wrote:I was without power for 13 days for a 5 min fix.
