I'm tired of......

Since we finally have power and internet, these are a few things we learned during Hurricane Ike and the aftermath.
I know there are more and sure other Ike survivors can add more.
I'M TIRED OF:
smelling like gasoline
the hum of generators--day and night
MOSQUITOES
generator fumes
being HOT
being in line---for gasoline, PODs, etc
allergies due to windows being open
darkness--NOT being able to see your hand in front of you.
not being able to sleep late---gotta get the generator started
cold showers
not being able to fix my hair--pony tails really are IN
wearing wrinkled clothes
cold food
"clingy"cats---generators made them crazy
needing a flashlight to go to the bathroom
not really knowing what shirt I'm putting on until I get in the daylight

Glad you're back in civilization........but remember the words of the great poet:
If a hurricane doesn't leave you dead
It will make you strong
Dont try to explain it just nod your head
Breathe in, breathe out, move on

Good to see you back!
I guess we all have to look back at, and be thankful for some simple items we just take for granted,
especially when they can be taken away so quickly
Hope life is returning to some sort of normalcy...
