You know, I think I’ll go with the Democratic women . . . . sometimes you just can’t beat age and experience!
This is particularly true in politics; we’re not talking about going to a slumber party, were talking about life today in America (and death in Iraq…) You’re not gonna get any of them in the sack, but the Republicans have sure been screwin’ us for the past 8 years!

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but sometimes they have really good ideas....

Hmmmm . . . not me. I'm paying more for gas, I'm paying more for groceries; everything I buy costs more. My retirement fund is down 20% from last year (even as I keep putting more $ in it.) Inflation is up, unemployment is up . . .
If you have more money, you must be stealin' it! Oh, yeah, you're a republican, of course you are!
We have a republican running for governor here in Washington that lists himself as a "GOP" on the ballot; even he doesn't want to be associated with Bush & McCain . . . . . the state court (republican hacks that they are) have ruled that he can call himself anything that he wants.
Four more years of this?

Nope-I'm not stealing ANYTHING!!!SeattleParrotHead wrote:Hmmmm . . . not me. I'm paying more for gas, I'm paying more for groceries; everything I buy costs more. My retirement fund is down 20% from last year (even as I keep putting more $ in it.) Inflation is up, unemployment is up . . .

I'm WORKING 75-80 hours per week. I know that word "WORK" is a foreign concept to some of you socialists, but I prefer to do that and pay MY OWN way (and apparently that of some of your ilk as well), rather than depend on SOMEONE ELSE to pave my way.
The C.S.ers that do the stealing are the socialist democrats and a few "get along with 'em" Republicans who think in the intrest of fairness, everyone should be the same.
SCREW THAT, AND SCREW ANYONE WHO THINKS THAT WAY!
I'll work to pay MY OWN way, so DAMMIT, leave my wallet alone.
I'm paying more for everything too, but I'm WORKING so I can.
I'm not complaining for having to work so many hours-it's the life I chose, and I know in this profession nobody gets rich. I end up saving more too because, due to the fact I AM working, I'm not able to go anywhere to spend it. (But sometimes I'll sneak over to Wal Mart while on the road, take my checkbook, go inside, and just let myself go).
So help me God, if the Messiah, Barack Obama, Most Gracioous, Most Merciful, gets elected, I'm taking every friggin' dime allowable by law I make and putting it into a tax deferred I.R.A. so him and his flunkies can't touch it until I decide to take it out.
Does that make me greedy?
DAMN RIGHT! I'm EXTREMELY greedy when it comes to what's MINE.
OH-
and here's another idea:
If you lose your job,
GET ANOTHER ONE!!!
AND NO, NOT four more years of this.
1OOO MORE YEARS OF THIS!

I *do* wonder how many of the people who've been freely slinging the word "socialist" around lately really know what the word *means*...

Wouldn't dream of comparing Bush to either. He's neither smart enough nor clever enough.Wino you know wrote:I wonder how many people who've been comparing President Bush to Hilter and Stalin have lived under the regimes of Hitler and Stalin.TropicalTroubador wrote:I *do* wonder how many of the people who've been freely slinging the word "socialist" around lately really know what the word *means*...
And anything I might have to say about resemblances of some recent CIA/NSA practises to those of the SS and NKVD would be insufficiently funny for a "humor" forum. So I won't.
(And I *have* heard stories from relatives about the Stalinesque practises of the Polish secret police, pre-democracy. But that's not important right now...)
