I can't imagine what it would take to beat him. In his defense, that "rolled-up shirt sleeves, glasses hanging off the nose" look is who he is. Always looks like he just rolled out of bed after sleeping in his clothes.
I think I only saw one ad for him...and only in the last week or so. He must have been pretty confident...

I wonder what the largest popular vote margin ever was? As you said, it's going to be pretty close tonight, as the last several have been.

It would either be the 1972 or 1984 elections that had the biggest margin of victory.

Registration info and prior voting trend records
give the vote trackers a pretty good model of how each county is going to total out.
As they count the votes, and the trends hold, then you see the ability to forecast the outcome so seemingly early.
It's truly a science, now.

Which I personally find annoying and a detriment to our voting process.

It would be really inksome to be on the west coast and have those projections. However there is a lot more at stake than the presidential race.

The Mitten just went blue...
Are the proposals the encores???
I think (in MI) #1 will pass, #2 will not. But I really haven't seen any predictions or even polling on those before.
Our only local was a library millage, which I hope passes.
We had local Dail a Ride and road millage. Both of which I hope pass. My neice doesn't drive and uses Dial a Ride extensively.
I thought both proposals 1 & 2 were expected to pass.
Any politician who says he'll fix our roads would probably get my support. They're in terrible shape around here. One day I'll have to post a photo of the hole I have to drive through to get out of my driveway.

what i can never get...is how does someone win the popular vote and lose the electorial vote...not be the President!!....wouldn't that be the measuring stick!! IMO!!....It could possibly happen tonight!!!......it's like if you win 5-4 in say baseball....but because 3 of your runs were unearned...they don't count and you lose!!..if that makes any sense!!!!!

Obama is likely gonna get a 5 million vote bump from California

We've had several arguments about that one.... In the original BOR each state got ONE vote (which didn't work either)......
The only thing I have a problem with are the stupid "exit polls" because you never know whether or not the poll is really accurate... How many people participate in the poll anyway?
(It kind of reminds me of American Idol voting... you know.. vote for the "loser"?)
