DAMN RIGHT I'll complain.
But YOU'RE one of the ones who've made some pretty intelligent & well thought out posts, so for that, thank you.
Well, all I can say is that we're all in this together. I have faith that there are brighter days ahead for all of us. If I am wrong, you deserve a spot at the front of the line to complain. But, Barack needs to be given a chance. We can't expect an immediate turnaround. After all, from my perspective, he has quite a mess to clean up. In a Democracy, we trust that the majority will make the best decision for all. Let's hope that we have.
Yes sir, we ARE in this together.
And there are ALWAYS going to be brighter days ahead-each day will always be better than the last if you make it so.
My motto is this-if the country is in a mess, or preceived to be in a mess, maybe it's a bad thing, but I choose not to participate.
You're a smart guy, you seem like the kind of person who'd do VERY well on his own, therefore, you shouldn't participate in any negativity of this nation either.
Onward and upward.
Have fun, but stay vigilant.
Stay Vigilant? GARRY- Are you now threatening fellow BNers?
The Moderators ( Hello Penny) need to ban you from this site.
You are a sick human being.
NOW STOP THAT CRAP! Garry is a fine person and he isn't threating anyone!
Victors need to be gracious!
Sorry about the Caps and Cr*p!

CARE TO EXPLAIN THAT?
Do you know what VIGILANT means?
It may be a great night for YOU, so go celebrate if you want to.
For some of us, it's a disappointing night. And whether I'm banned or not, it's still disappointing.
I TOTALLY don't get the meaning of your post.

McCain delivered an eloquent, elegant and classy speech ...
We have witnessed history and I'm glad I lived to see it.
I believe Obama will work hard to bring us together and will help us build bridges with our foreign friends.
I believe he has what it takes to lead us through the difficult times ahead. I believe he will work for a consensus rather than use a heavy hand to get his way.
The three words I keep hearing all night are
Unity
Hope
Equality
He has set the bar very high ... and I believe he will be able to rise to the occasion ... he'll bring out our better angels and we will all be better to have lived during the next 4 years.
I wish my granddaddy was here to witness this ... and Lucille, the lady who raised my brother and me ... they would have loved this moment.
'Night, all.
God Bless America.
God Bless Barack Obama
God Bless us all.

But I don't see where asking anyone to stay vigilant is threatening anyone?

The sun will come up tomorrow. Gas will still be over $2 a gallon and the stock market is still in the tank. Troops still serve our needs on foreign soil, and there are families with children who will be hungry and cold this winter.
I'm happy as heck that we can have a peaceful transfer of executive power every few years, but as I've said before, "A president might not be able to fix our crisis, but he sure can screw it up if he tries."
Here's to not trying too hard to screw things up... red or blue.

I'm still buzzing over the American history that has just been written!
...but now it's time to turn my focus on California's Prop. 8
Should gay marriage be banned as a legal union?
What would Ellen DeGeneres have left to talk about ?
