According to the Wall Street journal, it has been done...
Warren Buffett last May (2004?) played ukulele and sang "Five Foot Two, Eyes of
Blue (Has Anybody Seen My Gal?)" at the opening of Jimmy Buffett's
Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant in Omaha, Neb., where the elder Mr.
Buffett has lived most of his life. He was accompanied by Cousin Jimmy. The
two didn't rehearse, says Warren Buffett: "He asked me what key I played in. I
said, I don't know.'"

(Mark and Kevin aren't in the BBB anymore... miss them muchly!)markp wrote:And about those ukuleles that Jimmy and Warren were playing...
Jimmy's ukuleles were all packed up and on the truck headed toward Denver for their Tuesday concert, so a couple days before Omaha they called and asked if there was a way we could bring a couple ukuleles. My son Kevin also plays with Johnny Russler & the Beach Bum Band, and he happens to play trumpet, steel drums, some bass, and... ukulele. So that's one uke.
The second uke was one Johnny just bought, which is the same model as Kevin's (although Kevin can tell them apart.. his was broken in and he was just telling me a few days ago how much nicer it sounded than when he first got it).
When we sent them over Friday night so that Jimmy and Warren could practice before the show, I dropped a note in asking if Jimmy would sign them. Sure enough, when they arrive I see that the one Jimmy is holding is signed "To Kevin -- Jimmy Buffett". Later, Johnny tells me that Jimmy only signed the one.
As I'm packing up, I discover that the "To Kevin" ukulele is actually Johnny's! After breaking the news to Kevin that he's going to have to break in a new ukulele, I'm packing the equipment and go to switch the cases... and discover that Johnny was mistaken: the other ukulele IS signed!
Except it's signed "To Mark"!
So I think I suddenly owe Johnny a ukulele.
If anyone happens upon a picture of the Jimmy and Warren duet, let me know. There were a lot of press photographers, so I'm sure someone will publish a photo somewhere.
Meanwhile, I have to learn to play the ukulele now.
