Yes, but unless he's a predator, I doubt he's older and put younger. Giving the benefit of the doubt and taking it at face value (which I admittedly preach not to do) he appears to be a teenager with less than perfect english and an obsession with Jimmy Buffett.

Almost as funny as his (or her) use of grammar and writing, is the fact that Volcano keeps asking the same questions over and over. I mean I just saw a thread about Newport and a DVD. Unreal

I would say Jimmy probably uses several effects pedals in his show and probably non of us could afford his equipment let alone the the sound man or 40 channel mixer etc.... You'll never be able to exactly duplicate his sound. Spend a day at your local Guitar Center trying out their pedals and then log into Musiciansfriend.com and buy one.

You do realize that Guitar Center and MusiciansFriend are one and the same don't you ? I believe music123 is also owned by Guitar Center.

I always support my local Mom and Pop music stores, but not knowing the posters location or actual age or ability to get around ( and most areas have a guitar center and if he's on the internet he does have access to Musiciansfriend.com which is almost always cheaper) I was trying to tell him the best and easiest way to mimic Jimmy's sound, since every post he had gotten up to mine had been about his lack of proper usage of the english language. How do you all like that run on sentence............

To get back to the question, I'm not sure. I've thought (which is stating I don't actually know) that he uses compression and possibly chorus and maybe EQ. All which cost around $100 or so a piece.

Why anybody uses Peavey and Crate amps is beyond me, they sound horrible and are horrible.

if you play rock and have a peavey 5150 or 6150 you would think otherwise if you were a guitarist. for jimmys sound its a different story.

I worked for Target for 5 years during my high school/college days. Target was NEVER foreign owned, it started and has always been based out of Minneapolis, MN. The French thing is a myth, because of the way people like to pronounce "Target"
