Disappointed with Margaritaville Mohegan Sun

I am a huge fan and love JB to death. But was disappointed with Margarativille at Mohegan Sun. I love the boat booths but everything else was just ok. The Orlando and Vegas restaurants that I have been to are much nicer. They just have a better feel - even the layout seems just about the same. I can't put my finger on it. The deck upstairs was just ok - kind of metally looking though. And my burger was overcooked and very salty. I remember the Orlando burgers being awesome. I'll chock it up to new chefs and new help. I'll go back again though

Ya I thought it would be more like some of the others, kinda seems like they ran out of room. The gift shop part was very narrow. The whole thing has a strange layout. The food we had was great. We were there for the private opening, didnt order off the menu tho. And now that you mention it, there was alot of metal, not very tropical/beach feel, aside from the palm trees. Really, it was kinda of a hodge-podge.

I don't think any of the food is very good at ANY of the M-ville's.

I go for the ambience and drinks.

The jerk chicken sandwich and the conch fritters are the Marg in New Orleans are really good. I've yet to eat a cheeseburger or get the Volcano nachos. The biggest irony of all? The margaritas are pedestrian.
