REFRIGERATOR RIGHTS
I was listening to a Radio show today..
(yes Bob and Tom)
the guest was talking about how many friends you have in your life
that have Refrigerator Rights and you at their homes..
I think He claims you should have at least 5
I can think of a couple of people I have Refrigerator Rights with..
you??? and do you agree that we need these pholks..

I can name ten people without thinking that have fridge rights at my place. However, being a single guy, my fridge contains bacon, pickles, milk, eggs, and Miller High Life. So there isn't much demand.
These same people know where the key is, and may enter without knocking, but I take no responsibility for what they may witness if they do.

Love the single guy fridge...when I was single I had mustard, butter, cookie dough and beer....V-town Fin Truck wrote:I can name ten people without thinking that have fridge rights at my place. I can think of at least 10 people that have "Fridge Rights" at my house.
I thank the Lord for the people I have found

Have several friends who have refrigerator rights, (that is if they can get around my three teenagers asses who are usually hanging out of it while the other end consumes mass quantities.) Actually in my neighborhood, there are several of us that don't knock and feel free to enter each others house for supplies even when the owner isn't home. They're all Parrotheads, too.

This thread is an eye-opener for me. I guess I have boundaries.
I was brought up to NEVER go in someone else's fridge, and I would be shocked if someone in my house opened my fridge, unless I was having a party and they were helping.
Edit: At my brothers' homes, I help myself to the fridge, and they do at mine. I have five brothers, so I guess I meet my quota, plus Mom makes six.

No Parrot and I stock the fridge, me with groceries, him with beer.
Our youngest daughter and her husband have keys to the house and the run of the fridge--they mostly live at our house (due to being students)
. They are great at shopping for pie and bagels.
Our eldest daughter has a key to the house and occasionally makes contributions (deposits) to the fridge, or withdrawals, especially when her kids get hungry or thirsty at our house. Her husband would probably not look in the fridge unless invited.
When the other 2 kids are "home" and staying with us, they know how to stock and raid the fridge, and usually have a house key "for the duration" of the visit.
My husband's work colleague, who is also a neighbour, often makes deposits and withdrawals in our fridge (and garden), which is easy, since she has a house key, too. Sometimes she even cooks for us!
The cleaning lady just uses her key to come in and clean, and only opens the fridge to put things away and, once in a while, to clean it.

first off I thought Wayne was having more appliance problems. first the beeping microwave that won't shut-up...now the frig that wants equal rights!!!
I pretty much never have anyone over...conditions being what they are...ok, so I don't clean and I don't host and I rarely offer....so there!
But when I do have someone over, I'd bet they could look...but you should probably ask before eating or drinking anything from my frig....lord knows how long it's been in there....not that bad, but if there's food, it's probably old. my kids or I would have eaten it by now if it was worth anything.

As a single guy, I *have* occasionally had all four food groups in my fridge - junk, fast, frozen, and spoiled.
I do try to cull the more interesting specimens before they evolve sufficiently to develop language skills.
