I'm going to be in San Diego next week and will have a whopping few hours free while I'm there. With so much time on my hands, I'll need to find something to do. I'm staying near the Seaport Village. Anybody have a "can't miss" suggestion within walking distance of there to help me keep from getting bored?

Gaslamp tavern is my favorite bar downtown. It is at 5th and e. About 10 blocks from where you will be.

You gonna be there day or night? Pleanty of stuff to do in San Diego.

there's a great little eatery on the trolley stop called the Tin Fish...great little bar, or a nice steak at Donovan's just up the block.
Further up 5th is the Hard Rock (music), Dick's Last Resort (fun), Deco (dancing) and wander over a block to the oldest bar in San Diego, The Tivoli ...a great late dive!

I agree, just make your way to the Gaslamp District and you will find plenty to do.
