Both ski resorts are over 50 miles from the metro area.. Loveland is 10,600 ft. altitude. 8)

Besides.. this IS good for Colorado's economy, & puts people to work.

Just keep Snoopy UP THERE, and not down here. ;)

I know, it's good for Vermont's economy too but when the snow falls on Stowe it also falls in my backyard! I"m not quite ready yet. :(

As a skier, I can honestly say "It's too early". Nearly 80 again here in PA today. I am not ready for ski season until late Dec. I hate to give up summer as I wear my shorts at least until Nov.

Something wrong with that picture....Skiing is supposed to be a cold weather sport.....those people are caught between two seasons....kinda like wearing a parka and boots to the beach

I haven't heard an "official" word, but after the dumping of snow last weekend, I suspect ours aren't far behind.

Great for the resorts....heck, they didn't close until the end of June this year....they're happy...and as long as it stays UP THERE, so am I!

God love you guys in the Rocky Mt. states... I like winter (for about 2 months), but snow from Oct. to May is a little overboard for me. I need my seasons to stay in their "required" seasons....

I would prefer snow from Thanksgiving to New Years....that's it....but alas, I didn't have a hand in planning....BUT it's a decent trade off to have our beautiful mountains....I really do love them.

:D :D Actually down in the Denver metro area, we DO have all 4 seasons. MOST of the snow is in the mountains, not down here. :D Heck many times we've had Christmas's just wearing a light jacket. Miss the ocean, but I LOVE Colorado. :D

I've skied in ski pants and a t-shirt, but it was BAD! The snow would have been better in a margarita.

Only cause I'm proud of my state.. ;) Does that refer to times you've skied in Colorado or Utah?? :)

No- Colorado skiing was great. The base was taller than I am, and we got fresh snow at least once, and that was mid-March. The mess was in Tahoe in over New Year's several years ago. They apparently don't start getting good snow until February.

No, No, don't get me wrong...crud is just a term for "bad" snow, usually icy, chunky, granular stuff...not "snow" as most think of it....unfortunately, I've never had the oppurtunity to ski in either of those fine states....where I understand...the skiing is the best. :D
