We're Still Here

Post by rich_big »

I know according to http://www.buffettnews.com/resources/songs/?song=642 We're Still Here has not been put on a studio album. It is a new song, this year. I heard a version the other day on Rad Marg and I swear it sounded like a studio recording. Was this recorded stealth, or a single or something?

It was probably done for TTWWY, just like A Salty Piece Of Land was done for LTC, Trouble On The Horizon for Fruitcakes, etc...

Nope...that's "Here We Are". ;)

I've heard We're Still Here is a song that "didn't make the cut" onto the TTWWY...I totally understand why. :-?

If you search the Sirius playlist, when that song is played it's listed as "Still Making Records (We're Still Here). Interesting.

If he's still making records, I guess we have something to look forward to. :D

Why are these two nostalgic songs so sought after? It's not like they are good.

Good or not, it's stuck in my head on a rainy Sunday morning. Anybody have a concert recording of it? Or know where I could find it?

I believe he did it at the Houston concert last year.

Jimmy did "We're Still Here" at the St. Louis concert, (4/24/08 I think.) I was at the show, and yeah, it kinda suckd, but it's got a few good lines in it.

There used to be a download of that concert available in the Concert Trading forum. If you can't find it, PM me or something and I'll send you the mp3.

It is a matter of opinion. I gotta admit we like em. Love Jimmy's delivery of them. The lyrics stick in our minds to.

Very true. Hopefully, we'll have something to look forward to for a long time!! There is just something about his music that makes you smile. No matter what kind of a lousy day I could be having if I listen to Jimmy sing I always feel better.

Must be a generational thing. Both seem like a nostalgic big pat on the back to me.
