AC/DC's "Black Ice" is cranking in the stereo as I type these words.
With one run through and part of another, I think it's their best album in at least fifteen years. Brian Johnson sounds as good as he did in 1980, and Angus and the boys haven't forgotten how to ROCK.
AC/DC is one band that never suffers from any damned "identity crisis". "Black Ice" is kick your ass, in your face, punch you in the mouth, crappin' teeth for a week, rip your cojones off and shove them down your throat, balls to the wall rock and bloody roll -- no fluff, no filler, no "power ballads", nothing but total unrepentant, unrelenting head removal.
"Rock and Roll Train", babies -- sniff them fumes. Smells like rock and roll to me.
