Philly's New Slogan

Post by blackjack »

It's an unofficial slogan, but please give a warm round of "Huh?" to Philly's latest sports slogan:

Why Can't Us?

The city that gave birth to the Constitution, and this is the best that they can come up with?

Maybe they should give the proceeds from the T-shirts to the public school system.

"I love that the grammar is so bad on it, makes it even more appealing and lovable," wrote Tony in the first comment.
So now the dumbing down of the English language is "appealing and lovable".

Give me a break.

It's Philadelphia. They dumbed down the language a LONG time ago.
But you're right, not much appealing or lovable about it! (the slogan)

P.S. I was born there. My whole family on both sides is from Philly.

How absolutely delightful that so many are willing to impugn the intelligence of an entire city based on the fact that someone is selling a t-shirt (with proceeds going to CHARITY!) based on one silly statement.
