I guess I will try again...We live 15 minutes away from the SUN and my wife, myself and our two parakeets have been to Buffett shows there as well as various shows through-out the country. We were there for the opening of Margaritaville on the 29th.Met Miles Hampton from SIRIUS. Great Guy.
I told my wife this morning, "We will be at the November 8th show, I am not sure how, but we will be there".
Any suggestions???

Did anyone who called for tickets actually get informed they had won? No names have been read off and I don't know how they are notifying people.

Has anyone been told they got tickets?

No, not yet. I am beginning to lose hope. I work for a defense contractor and I can not access any on line radio stations, including SIRIUS between 6:00am till 5:00pm, when I get home. I am screwed. On a saltier rim, we took our parakeets Jacob and Hannah to the Mohegan Sun Margaritaville last night for our fifteenth wedding anniversary. We all had a great time.

First post:
I won tickets from Sirius. I only left my name, number etc. at the recording and they called me back today!!! I was at a loss for the first few seconds of the call. Lady said, congrats on winning the tickets. I really didn't know what to say, I have been scrambling to see how I could win some. I guess I got lucky. I'm about 10 minutes from the Sun, grew up in Uncasville and am very glad I can see him on this stop. No tickets are even given out (can't swap them) only names on a list, with ID checks at the door. First concert was with my now wife about 15 years ago after my college graduation (she got me the tics for a gift) and now I get to bring her to this.
Can't wait. I'd love to hear anyone else that gets these.

Thanks Candyman,
I am so excited it hasn't even hit me yet!!! I've never even been this close to Jimmy for a concert. Only down side that has already been said is, I hope that this isn't for people that really don't know Jimmy and just get tickets for some reason. The last time I went to one like this was at Fenway. The people in front of us didn't even know his songs, just a drunk fest with no appreciation for him. Almost gave me a bad taste, and def. gave the wife one. She actually said she wouldn't go to another show she was so sick of it. I really hope tons of true fans end up getting tickets to this and hope Jimmy plays a full set for us.
I can't wait (sorry if I am a bit excited for those of you that don't get tickets). I am without words as to how lucky I feel I am right now.

I doubt it'll be a drunkfest... I'm sure anyone who's out of control will be shown the door at an event like this....

i agree with Jen...there will only be about 400-600 tickets given out!!.....and i'm sure you will get a lot of non parrotheads because high rollers will get some as will i'm sure liquor distributors and other venders they deal with.....i would say around 200 of the people will be true Buffett fans!!

With that being said, I want to be one of those 200 fans!!!! I have been to each show up there, as well as many others up and down the Eastern Seaboard, and by the will of the "JOLLY MON" I will score a ticket. I have not had a lot of blog time on this website, nor am I a member of some organized club, but I am a parrothead, and my kids are parrotkeets!!! "OH JOLLY MON, RUM-RUN ME SOME TICKETS"!!

Tommy,
From what I can tell, there are no tickets to be given out, therefor no one other than the people who win them can get in. I have to have photo ID with me when I try to get in the door. Only way in, and only a list with names that must match. I was told, bring ID and you will be on a list.
