I saw Jimmy this year 3 times for under 40 bucks each (32.50$ to be exact). As far as your hometown is concerned, I have been waiting for Jimmy to play Chelmsford, MA for a long time now.

And they were all pretty dang close to where you live I bet. Thats the thing out west, all venues are way far from each other, and unless you live in that town, it costs an arm and a leg to get there (used to be driving was cheaper and worth it).
I have officially given up on the Northwest for JB. And, so I have also given up on seeing him any more. I have given him enough of my money in the last 20 years (7 states and 28 concerts). I have way more important things to spend money on, ie, those 2 things in my avatar.

Thanks JB, I enjoyed it, but you are just not worth it to me any more.

Oh I am the first to admit the North East is spoiled in many ways concerning entertainment and sports. I have seen Jimmy all over but I get the option of Mansfield (Great Woods) MA twice a year with numerous New York, NJ, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut shows as well. The above about Chelmsford was a joke on home towns, obviously. I am reaching the point where I will hit the Great Shows and leave it at that so I hear ya.

Yes, if I lived where I could go see 2-4 shows a year, all in within a 6-7 hour drive, I would be all over it. I am just a little jealous, and a lot pi$$ed, because we get the SF area (been there), Vegas (been there countless times) and SD (been there) and LA. All a long ways from the northwest, and a really long ways from ID. He has cut back on us, so I cut back on him. Just simple economics.
If he does ever play the Gorge again, you can all come to Boise and ride up with me. It is way worth it.

Still would love to make one of the big shows back east some time.

well said. ive only been to two shows, but right now id rather put my money elsewhere. like skiing. or my education. if he came to the gorge, boise, or even montana(gasp!) id be there. but until the east coasters stop going-never-he wont be here any more....id recommend other artists that havnt gone after the $$$.

The boat is LOOOOONNNG done..... it was built at Delta on the Duwamish river.....painted a kinda standard boring color scheme with some name....taken out and delivered...them they repainted her and put her real name on (Contintental Drifter III).....nice rig...not to overdone......

As far as getting Jimmy here....errrrr....welll... Look outside...IT IS October.......and last time Jimmy was here (White River) he froze his butt off...... so unless we can convince him to play yhe gorge in say......August...I don't think he'll be doing any outside shows..... :o :o :o :D

White River was a bad one...Although the alcohol made it bearable for myself anyways but others in my party were torked! What should have been a 40 minute drive for us turned into 3 hour drive so we were late, it was cold and rainy and to top it off they way oversold the lawn..which sucked. I've spent money on Vegas the last 5 years to get my yearly Buffett fix...(Portland 2 or 3 years ago didnt get announced until AFTER I bought my Vegas tickets and if you dont get Vegas tickets fast, they are gone!) It would be awesome to have him around here somewhere so my friends that can not afford Vegas can experience him. They love my pics and want to go but it sure adds up fast. PLEASE JIMMY! Come see us in WA at the Gorge again in 09!!!! Im sure it would sell out here too!

Well hey, I am visiting up here in Idaho right now, which is muuuuch colder than my island home, and I can tell you, as fanatically 'right' as these people up here seem to be, I DON'T think he would feel really welcome! People have written to the local paper saying they are afraid to profess themselves ANYthing center of 'way far right' for fear of actual physical retaliation, which rather startled me! Being an expat, 'acourse I voted a couple weeks ago by absentee, so it's all amusement to me. I guess Ms. P went to college in this pretty little lake town long ago. But the leaves and the kids in the costumes and the great coffee are fantaz! (The hysterical news coverage is getting to me, after only two weeks stateside; how HAVE you all stood it for months and months and months?!) He should do a concert in Vancouver -- the northwesties would be able to go and the 'Nadians would love it!

Seattle's Key Arena has 81 nights available this winter, since the Sonics are called the Oklahoma Stealers . . . .
