Why you come off as a blowhard Garry... would you have said that if Cory said she voted for Obama? Don't be so judgmental.

Well McCain would not have cracked my top 5 of Rep choises when this started and Obama has too many questionable relationships and past quotes (when the camera lights were off) to vote in. Why won't any media outlet be honest and non-biased. From FOX to MSNBC you get such a different spin. Someone please tell Sean Hannity and Keith Oberman to shut the F*** up already! I read this weekend that NBC and its affiliates knowingly and planned to be Dem friendly for ratings....sounds like true journalism went out the door with integrity. So in my humble opinion...no matter who wins Tuesday...."We're Screwed"!

It can be a PIA

to take the time and get an absentee ballot when you're away at school. Glad to see you voted in your first Pres. election.

Sorry... I took it as you only called her that because she voted for McCain. I stand corrected.

I went and voted early on Wednesday......the lines were still quite long, took about 45 minutes. There was a young girl in front of me voting for the first time....I felt like such a dork because it made me kind of teary....I was just so proud to see her there and so many people out voting......
I live in Utah, so I KNOW how most of them were voting.....but it did not diminish for ONE SECOND the pride that I felt.....even though I voted quite differently than most of them probably did.
I took Caitlin with me....it gave me great pride to be able to go down the ballot with her...explaining the initiatives and why I voted the way I did.....
she will be able to vote in the NEXT presidential election and I am so glad that I've had the chance to be an example for her.....
Seriously, I don't care how anyone votes....who they campaign for, who they put on a concert for.....but please, be informed and then
JUST VOTE.

I have worked as an election judge since 1991 and my favorite voters are first time voters and new citizens voting for the first time--it is important to them, they ask someone to help them with the equipment because they want to make sure they do things right, and they are so full of pride about coming to vote.
We could all learn a lesson from these first time voters.
