Shame on you, sir. I can't believe that you aren't aware of the facts behind this ridiculous charge.
The American flag on the tail of Barack Obama's previous campaign plane (a chartered aircraft) is part of the corporate logo of the the company that owns the plane - North American Airlines.
When the Obama campaign switched aircraft to their current one, they placed a campaign logo on the tail. The American flag is included on the fuselage.
Although it has been pointed out by the 'thread police' that this thread is about Obama and not McCain, I should point out that McCain's campaign plane does not (I repeat - DOES NOT) have an American flag on the tail, either. McCain's aircraft has the flag on the fuselage.
Does your rumor mongering benefit anyone at this point?
Rumor mongering?? WTF? Where did that come from? I merely pointed out the American Flag was removed from the plane. Was that a rumor? I know the small flag is still there next to the N number but the large flag WAS removed.
I think FlyBoy's argument has a few facts that you seem to be ignoring. The flag is not part of the Obama logo. The flag was not "removed" from anything. I believe the content of your statement is the rumor mongering that FB is talking about.

Gawd, I can't wait until Wednesday!
OK, I take it back. It wasn't removed. It was PAINTED OVER! Picky picky picky
Still don't understand the rumor part, is "rumor mongering" out of the MoveOn handbook?
How could it possibly BE any MORE convenient? The polls are open for 13 hours. If you have a limitation due to work or physical handicap, there are provisions in all states. Virginia even has CURBSIDE voting for the elderly who cannot easily stand for long periods of time. A registrar actually brings the ballots to their CAR and they never even have to get out of the car.

But since you brought it up, the Dallas Morning News editor was quoted above "the Morning News would be back on McCain's plane again this weekend."
They wouldn't dare remove Fox after delaying the start of a World Series game for Obama's infomercial.
Sorry, I guess I should've just fallen in line and not pointed out that McCain has done the same thing on his campaign plane. My bad, I'll try to be less objective.
Michelle Obama is traveling with Barack all this weekend so that makes for less room on the plane. And I'm not sure why Obama originally had the DMN on anyway, he was never going to have a shot in Texas.... hell, 25% of folks in Texas think he's a Muslim
And I don't think the Obama camp cares at all that they delayed the start of a WS game by 15 minutes. Much like McCain probably doesn't care that the RNC convention delayed the start of the NFL Opener.
Is reading comprehension a skill lacking in you? It's says very clearly in the 3rd "quote" on the original post that McCain had done that.

Michael Moore, now there's someone you can take his word as gospel, huh?
ahhhh...Michael Moore, the Dem's version of Ann Coulter ....between the 2 of them there hasn't been a coherent thought in years
There IS no Democrat version of Ann Coulter. She is unique in her particular brand of paranoid hate-mongering.
Michael Moore, on the other hand, makes a lot of sense.
Sorry, I have never been stoned or drunk enough for Michael Moore to make sense. Then again, he's on the list of people I try to avoid listening to like Rush, Al Franken, Maher, Jon Stewart, Michael Savage, G Gordon Liddy, Hannity, Olberman so I don't even try anymore
There's your trouble. Try listening to him straight and sober.
Despite his everyman sensibilities, you'll notice Michael Moore has stayed very far from the limelight
in this election cycle, right? There's been no Farenheit 9/11 for him to schlep, and he knows, like Ann Coulter, that he's a polarizing figure.
As have Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson...hmmmm. Coincidence?

Actually I got a 31 on the Reading portion of my ACT... but thanks for trying to be personally insulting.

Wasn't being personally insulting, just wondering how someone who only seems to post about political things seemed to miss the original post and when it was once again pointed out by Elrod.

That comment about comprehension wasn't necessary.

No, Jesse has run his mouth a couple of times this campaign.....in July getting caught saying "I wanna cut his nuts off" for Obama talking down to black people.......and in October for saying that as president, the Democratic candidate would rid the United States of years of "Zionist" control.

Oh well, the politics of fear and personal destruction will end on Tuesday when the American people reject it.
I doubt that.
I sure hope it does! I got a dramatic robocall today (on Sunday, no less) about the terrible future, concerning Obama's plans to make peace with terrorists and destroy life as we know it. Sponsored by the Republican National Committee and McCain/Palin.

Are you hard of reading? Nothing was 'painted over'. A new plane, bearing no flag on the tail, was painted with the Obama logo, once again bearing no flag. So the tail of the NEW plane, having had no original flag and being painted with a flagless Obama logo, STILL HAS NO FLAG. No flag was removed, painted over, desecrated, or mishandled in any way.

One and a half more days!!!
Are you hard of reading? During refurbishment of Obama's chartered plane the American Flag WAS REMOVED and replaced with Obama's emblem.

North American did not buy a new unpainted plane for Obama. Trust me on that, I work for the company that owns North American.
With all due respect, and I am NOT an Obama supporter, it does say at the bottom of the Snopes article that the flag on the tail was removed because it was part of North American's registered trademark.
I'm just sayin'.....

Yes, it is part of the NA logo, would have looked nice on a plane being used by a presidential candidate.
