I only hoped my one day, my fiance could meet him to. On our Key West in the spring, she would have had that opportunity.
Capt. Tony was a really cool dude. He would sit and talk with anyone. I had many conversations with him about Jimmy, old Key West, women, and the resident ghost of the Saloon. Very knowledgable man and I have a huge respect for him. I only hope that the bar will continue like it has for so many,many years.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Sail on Capt. Tony...you'll be missed.
I would not be the least bit surprised if there are now at least 2 residents ghosts in the saloon.....

I was thinking the exact same thing.

I am selfish to say you've left us too soon, and I was looking forward to seeing you in March for the first time. Nonetheless, I pray you are at peace sailing the eternal calm sea. Sail on, and may your soul and smile live forever.

I was blessed enough to meet the Captain about 5 years ago in Key West. It was ironic to be in Key West the day he died. I was so sad to hear of his passing. I was able to go to his saloon Saturday night and have a drink for him.
Sail on Captain Tony.....

KD, Fingers and Amy played Last Mango and Pirate, among others, and then Lovely Cruise.....
Sail on, Captain Tony. You will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
From another JB song:
He's somewhere on the ocean now,
the place he ought to be;
with one hand on the starboard rail,
he's waving back at me.
It was definitely "a moment" I feel lucky to have been down here when it happened and will always remember linking arms with other BNers and singing LMIP at the top of our lungs and raising our drinks to Capt Tony He's probably just opening his new heavenly bar about now.

Sail on Captain Tony....we will miss you!
Luckily Mrs. cdnkeywest and I took a trip to Key West this past May and Captain Tony was sitting at the bar and we were able to chat to him for a bit and my wife got a picture with him (and a proposal to run away to Las Vegas with him!).
I will really treasure that time!!
