Penny was nice enough to fix my poll. Unfortunately, there were plenty of votes cast before it was fixed.

To be honest, I was using voter intimidation, ballot tampering and registration fraud to make sure the outcome went a certain way.

Not very optomistic at all. I sincerely hope I am wrong. I wish the best for my country, so hopefully things will work out, but I just don't see it. But it is time to just roll with it and see what happens.

Honestly, I think the country was in good shape either way. McCain's concession speech was very respectful, and Obama's speech was inspiring.

I don't know, but for those that don't know him. That was the real John McCain last night not this cranky old man that has been running for president.

I hope he goes back to the Senate and continues the legacy he has already started. I hope his wife continues her charity work. I hope his sons come home safe and sound from Iraq. His daughters become every bit the lady that their mother is. I wish nothing but the best for John McCain and his family. I thank him for his service to this country. It's a better place because of John McCain

The real John McCain last night was the man I remember. He almost had to be aggressive like he was to even have a chance. It's too bad it did make him look like a cranky old man. I think he's not.

I feel bad for him. I sincerely believe he is worthy of the job and would definitely do well for our country. I also believe that if someone other than Bush had been in office now, McCain probably would have won. W's 19% approval rating did McCain in.

Honestly, if McCain had been running against John Kerry and he kept his cool throughout the campaign, this would have been a harder decision for me.

McCain is a great man and a true patriot......I do think (hope) that he will become an ally to the future president. I have a great deal of respect for him and have not, will not say a bad word about him.

Although, I did call him cranky...I would not say anything bad about the man either. He is a great American. Obama even said that in his speech last night.

I think he will become one of our new President's great allies on the Senate also.

I wish my kid's had been old enough and awake last night to see both McCain and Obama's speeches. McCain was the definition of gracious loser. Obama was the definition of gracious winner. I was and still am proud of these two great men and more importantly the citizens of this great country that voted last night.

I thought the same thing when I watched Hillary Clinton give her concession speech in the primary.

I honestly think McCain would have made a great President. I think he just ran in the wrong year. Personally, I probably would have voted for him over many of the other Democrats in the 08 primary, and over Kerry as well.

I gather from your response that you sincerely believe that we're on our way down the toilet. It's upsetting to me to think that people believe the majority of us would vote the nation in that direction. On the other hand, many of believe that's what we did in the last couple of elections. So, I suppose anything's possible.

I am glad people are feeling good and see that our election process works.

They certainly offered none to very little at the time, didn't they? I wonder if all those calling for such unity now, would be doing so if McCain had won? Somehow I doubt it.

As for what is to come with Obama we can only wait and see. I do hope for the best for our nation and people.

For those that say things cannot get any worse, they might find out things really can get worse, and can do so in a hurry. I hope people and our nation, don't have to find out the hard way.

Remember what Joe Biden said about the international crisis 6 months after Obama taking office.

Obama has already started running for the next Presidential election.

It is far too early to be celebrating much of anything other than the elections are over and decided.
